Senir Divisin Reginal Awards: These special awards were develped by ur Reginal Fair and are nt ffered at the Internatinal finals. 1. Albany Cllege f Pharmacy & Health Sciences-Bimedical Sciences Excellence Award The award is presented t individual(s) demnstrating utstanding achievement in the area f Bimedical Sciences at the GCRSEF. This award, alng with an annual $5,000 tuitin schlarship is valued at $20,000. The tuitin schlarship is renewable fr fur years and requires maintenance f a 3.0 grade pint average and fulltime enrllment status. Grades Award(s): Up t three $20,000 schlarship 2. ASU Waltn Sustainability Slutins Initiative This award is fr inventrs, scial entrepreneurs, innvative designers and creative thinkers wh develp slutins t sustainability challenges. The research shuld slve a cmplex prblem that invlves scial justice, envirnmental and ecnmic prsperity. Tw awards can be given. and nminatin t enter the Grand Prize, a trip t Arizna fr the 2018 Sustainability Slutins Festival at Arizna State University. 4. Intel Excellence in Cmputer Science Award Winners f the Intel Excellence in Cmputer Science Award will receive an Intel Certificate, $200 and an Intel mement. This award may be given t an individual r a team. and $200 t be sent t student(s) after the student(s) cmpletes the required paperwrk. 5. Mu Alpha Theta This is the Natinal High Schl and Tw-Year Cllege Mathematics Club. It is intended that this recgnitin be awarded t a senir divisin individual r grup prject demnstrating the mst challenging, thrugh, creative investigatin f a prblem invlving mathematics. 6. NASA Earth System Science Award This is fr a prject exhibiting a clear and fcused purpse n Earth System Science that is testable using the science prcess. Funded in 1958 by President Dwight D. Eisenhwer, NASA's missin is t pineer the future in space explratin, scientific discvery and aernautics research, answering basic questins like: What's ut there in space? Hw d we get there? Reginal Rich Sustainable Develpment Award This award recgnizes prjects that demnstrate utstanding effrts in addressing issues f envirnmental respnsibility and sustainable develpment. 9. Sciety fr In Vitr Bilgy T be awarded t mst utstanding 11 th grade student exhibiting in the areas f plant r animal in vitr bilgy r tissue. If there are n 11 th graders available fr award can be ffered in ther senir divisin grades. 10. Stckhlm Junir Water Prize (SJWP) This is fr the best prjects related t water quality, water resurce management, water prtectin, water treatment r wastewater treatment. Up t three awards may be given.. Up t three awardees may register t cmpete in the State, cmpetitin by April 15th. Ten finalists at the Intel Internatinal Fair will receive an all expense trip t Stckhlm, Sweden where they will represent the United States t cmpete in the Internatinal Stckhlm Junir Water Prize cmpetitin. The STANYS State Science Cngress will be hsted by the University at Buffal n June 2, The Intel ISEF takes place in Pittsburgh, PA, May 13-18, Online Applicatins fr the Bradcm Masters nminees is due by June 13, Finalists fr the Bradcm Masters cmpete in Washingtn DC, Octber 18- Octber 24, Bradcm Masters prizes available after the nline applicatin is cmpleted as explained in the packet a finalist receives.
