Student Athlete Eligibility Funding fr representative supprt is nly available t students wh are enrlled at the Australian Natinal University (ANU) at the time f participating in the event fr which they are applying t receive funding. Fr students in their final year f study, based n the tw runds f graduatin (1 st and 2 nd semester) students are nly eligible t receive the funding grant if the event fr which they are requesting t receive funding, is scheduled fr the same semester fr which they are due t graduate. Prf f enrlment is prvided t ANU Sprt. An exceptin will be made fr students wh are selected t cmpete at the Australian endrsed event where the guidelines, as set by Australian University Sprt, will be adhered t. Funding supprt is nly available t students f the ANU wh are selected t represent Australia by a Natinal Sprting Organisatin r Australian University Sprt, in an underage r pen/senir team. Retrspective funding will be at the discretin f ANU Sprt and will nly be granted under extenuating circumstances. 2. Applicatin Prcess - Internatinal Travel Grant The ANU student cmpleting the applicatin fr the Internatinal Travel Grant, will need t cmplete and submit the nline applicatin, available n the ANU Sprt website. The ANU student cmpleting the applicatin fr Internatinal Travel Grant, will need t read the nline Applicant Guidelines, available n the ANU Sprt website. The ANU student making applicatin fr Internatinal Travel Grant is required t read the nline Agreement template, available n the ANU Sprt website. Upn submissin f an Internatinal Travel Grant applicatin, and if applicant is eligible t receive grant, ANU Sprt will make cntact with student t arrange a meeting time t discuss the Agreement requirements. 3. Applicatin checklist: Applicants are t ensure the fllwing dcuments are included and attached with 1

Meeting ANU Sprt will meet with the eligible applicants t discuss: any issues r questins relating t the applicatin prcess requirements as per the Agreement in particular details f invlvement in prmtinal activities (appendix A) and the student s availability fr such events apparel prviding sizing fr ANU Sprt unifrm player prfile and phtgraph this template will be ed t student immediately after meeting reprting requirement as per Agreement (appendix B). 5. Club Affiliatin Thse students wh are nt ANU Sprt affiliated Club members will nt be autmatically eligible fr full funding. T receive the full funding amunt under this prgram, students wh elect t play fr club ther than ANU may be required t undertake sme r all f the fllwing activities. This des nt include students fr which there is n ANU club assciated with their sprt, r where it is nt practical t cmpete fr the ANU Club due t standard f cmpetitin r higher hnurs etc. One r mre activities that yu may be invlved in include: Participatin at University Games Participatin in Intervarsity cmpetitins Running caching sessins, fr yur wn sprt r ther (where pssible), with teams frm the fllwing prgrams: University Games Club Intervarsity Any ther invlvement, aside frm caching, with any f the abve prgrams, example: Talk abut gal setting, pre-game and turnament preparatin etc. Assistance with running a cme and try day r similar Club activities 2

3 6. Spnsrship/grant funding frm ther surces Funding is nt intended t substantially cver the ttal csts f participatin; rather it is awarded as a tken f encuragement and supprt t assist with the csts. Additinally, in circumstances where ther funding is available t the individual, the Internatinal Travel Grant assistance may nly be prprtinately available. This will be at the discretin f ANU Sprt. 7. Funding Maximum Funding Available is $1000 Funding prvided is dne s at the discretin f ANU Sprt and is allcated fllwing the guide belw. The ANU Sprt budget fr Athlete Supprt is finite. In an effrt t ensure all athletes requiring supprt fr internatinal cmpetitin are fairly funded limitatins t funding apply. Funding is fr travel csts nly Flights Accmmdatin Internal Travel Funding is limited t 70% f eligible csts fr athletes with a ttal ut f pcket expense f $2000 r less Funding is limited t 80% f ttal travel csts fr athletes with between $2001 and $5000 ttal ut f pcket expenses. Athletes with a ttal ut f pcket expense in excess f $5000 are eligible fr 100% f eligible csts. TOTAL COST OF INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL Out f pcket expenses are nly the funds required t be paid by the athlete. Any csts cvered by the NSO, Event Organiser, Spnsr r ther surce f funding are excluded frm ttal ut f pcket expenses. TOTAL OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE % OF FUNDING AVAILABLE FUNDING AMOUNT $ $1000 $2000 r less 70% $700 $1000 $ $ % $800 $1000 $5001 r mre 100% $1000 Pr-rata funding may apply when an exceptinal number f applicants are applying, and the budgeted allcatin will be exceeded if all applicants are alltted maximum funding. This will be at the discretin f ANU Sprt. Cnversely if adequate budget is remaining at the end f the funding perid, surplus funds may be distributed t athletes pst event. 3

5 APPENDIX B: POST COMPETITION REPORT As part f the Internatinal Funding Grant Agreement, recipients f the grant will be required t prvide ANU Sprt with a written reprt (n lnger than 300 wrds). This reprt will be used by ANU Sprt fr prmtinal and marketing materials n their website and thrugh scial media channels. It wuld be greatly appreciated if yu culd attach a phtgraph/s frm yur travels, these can be related t any part f the trip including actin shts and/r sightseeing ventures. 5
