It is an initiative of the AAP in collaboration with the World Health Organization, USAID, and a number of other global health partners. HBB teaches the initial steps of neonatal resuscitation to give a much better start to many babies who struggle to breathe at birth. HBB has been shown to reduce neonatal mortality by up to 47% and fresh stillbirths by 24%. This 1.5 day course will equip participants with the skills necessary to teach this lifesaving curriculum to birth attendants in resource-limited countries. For more information and to register visit hbs.aap.org/courses.
