2 GENERAL INFORMATION Course Description Evaluating and treating patients with advanced lung disease presents a serious challenge to practicing pulmonologists and other medical personnel. In many instances accurate diagnosis is the key to providing successful therapy, and many treatment options may be available but are often quite costly. Faculty speakers will examine and discuss important concepts in the diagnosis and treatment of individuals with advanced airway, vascular and parenchymal lung diseases. Intended Audience This conference is intended for pulmonologists, primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurses, advanced practice nurses, social workers, pharmacists, dietitians, health psychologists, respiratory therapists and any other health care professional with an interest in advanced lung disease. To examine and discuss current therapies for advanced airway diseases including COPD, asthma and bronchiectasis in order to optimize therapeutic approaches to these conditions. To review and examine current approaches to the treatment of advanced parenchymal and vascular lung diseases in order to optimize therapeutic approaches to these conditions. To examine the role of lung transplantation as a treatment option for endstage lung disease in order to assist the provider in determining appropriate pretransplant care and optimal referral for lung transplantion.

4 Conference Fee The conference fee of $350 for physicians, $250 for residents, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, social workers and others includes the cost of tuition, materials, continental breakfasts, lunches, refreshment breaks and a non-refundable registration fee of $50. Cancellations received up to 72 hours in advance will receive a refund for the entire conference fee, minus $50. No refunds will be made after that time.
