Muhammad Ali Through a combination of historical fact and creative imagination, the play Miss Ida B. 6 Louisville Youth Voices against Violence (LYVV) Fellowship Applications due by Friday, October 20th! Purpose The purpose of the Louisville Youth Voices against Violence (LYVV) Fellowship is to support local youth to be social agents of change to end systemic social inequity in their community. The program provides an environment that is conducive to leadership, cultural identity, professional, and critical consciousness development. Fellows will have increased their capacity to change personal, community, and social conditions. Fellowship Tenants Cultural Identity Development; Critical Consciousness Development; Leadership Development; Professional Development Skills; Campaign Engagement Qualifications for Candidacy Must be a West Louisville resident between the ages of 16 and 24; Be committed to violence prevention, social justice, and social action; Ability to get to the office on a daily (especially during primetimes of 3 pm and 6 pm) basis for work (Old Walnut Street Building, 1300 W. KentuckyOne Health Provides Family Health Centers with New Location West Louisville Clinic to re-open as FHC on November 6 The Westside Medical Center Primary Care clinic will become a new Family Health Centers location thanks to KentuckyOne Health. The clinic, located at 2500 West Market Street, closed on August 31, 2017 for repairs and renovations and will reopen on November 6 as a new Family Health Centers west Market location. 8 Vision Russell Updates and Events Urban Strategies Outreach Worker Position The outreach worker will be a part-time Urban Strategies employee who will be responsible for outreach to educate Beecher Terrace residents about the services available to them through case management and the Choice Neighborhood s People Program. The outreach workers will provide feedback to the CNI People team regarding program development, implementation and evaluation. Their feedback will inform continuous quality monitoring of the program and adjustments to improve on results.
