2 Synopsis Imagine the flickering glow of more than 5,000 artfully carved Jack O Lanterns depicting people, places and scenes from popular culture - all crafted with painstaking detail and amazing intricacy - lighting up Louisville s Iroquois Park for three straight weeks in October. Now, imagine your organization helping to bring this great event back to our community. Executive Summary The Louisville Jack O Lantern Spectacular is entering its fifth year as a favorite annual family event for all generations throughout the region. The three-week-long extravaganza will once again be held every evening from October 12 through November 5, 2017 at Iroquois Park in Louisville, KY. The park s natural beauty provides the perfect setting for more than 5,000 artistically carved, illuminated pumpkins displayed on a gently winding quarter mile trail. The 2017 Spectacular theme, titled The Alphabet From A to Z, will depict numerous scenes carved into the pumpkins, organized into more than 20 separate musically-themed sets. To produce this event, Metro Parks and Louisville Parks Foundation are partnering with Passion for Pumpkins, Inc., a multimedia production company with more than 25 years experience in redefining the fall season by transforming any landscape into illuminated organic galleries. Last year s attendance reached more than 85,000 customers, and 95% of those surveyed would recommend the event to someone else. Partnership levels are outlined in the following pages. 5 The 2013 theme Around the World featured amazing artistry which wowed attendees. The set depicting the rivalry between University of Louisville and University of Kentucky was wildly popular among attendees and will be returning in Popular children s favorites, Halloween & folklore themed pumpkins were also on display. A favorite picture spot and crowd pleaser, The Laughing Tree, is set to a fun and spooky laughing music track with hundreds of pumpkins climbing up into the trees featuring 1,000+ pound pumpkins
