We would like to remind you that this is also a great time to focus on your dental health. Poor oral health can lead to cavities, broken teeth, and infections. Oral infections can spread through blood to major organs, and cause serious illness and potentially death. If you are diabetic, you may be more susceptible to infection. Here are some simple, effective ways to improve your oral health and minimize any risk of more serious problems: Brushing twice daily for two minutes each time; Floss your teeth once a day; Use an antibacterial mouthwash to kill germs; Decrease your intake of sweet snacks and soda pop; Increase your intake of healthy fruits and vegetables, and drink fluoridated water like Louisville tap.
