2 Statement of Need This CME conference will provide current up-to-date advances in maternal, fetal and neonatal medicine. The faculty will present a variety of topics through lectures, panel presentations and case-based discussions. Topics will include prevention of prematurity, perinatal mental health, maternal mortality reduction, neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, bioethical issues in perinatal medicine, optimal timing for induction, and medico-legal issues in perinatology. Learning Objectives At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to: Evaluate pregnant and postpartum women for mood disorders or depression and treat or refer appropriately. Develop strategies for preventing or decreasing maternal morbidity and mortality using appropriate toolkits and maternal safety bundles. Develop appropriate skills to educate and counsel pregnant patients on the risks and benefits of labor induction at 39 weeks. Integrate current principles of biomedical ethics and law into the care of pregnant and neonatal patients. Target Audience This is a regional conference designed to meet the education needs of: pediatricians obstetricians neonatologists hospitalists emergency medicine family practice certified nurse midwives nurse practitioners nurses physician assistants social workers allied health professionals Register online at

Access to the materials will be ed to all registrants two weeks before the conference for downloading or printing. Cancellation and Refund Policy Course Registration Registration fees, less a $30.00 administrative charge, are refundable if written cancellation is received prior to February 28, No refunds will be given for cancellations received after this date or for conference non-attendance. We reserve the right to cancel or postpone any activity if necessary. In such case, full refund of registration fees will be given.
