Cntinued salary slide Despite increasing psitivity in pay rates fr thse in emplyment, frtunes cntinued t decline fr thse seeking new rles. Annual advertised salary drps were evident acrss all twelve regins f the UK in ust 20, as stagnating salaries were exacerbated by seasnal declines. Yrkshire & The Humber, previusly the regin seeing strngest grwth, slid int the red with negative salary mvement cmpared t the same time last year, while the wrst dwnwards slide fr pay ccurred in Lndn (-5.3%) and Sctland (-5.2%). With Cambridge still firmly established as the least cmpetitive spt in the UK fr jbseekers, ffering mre than 10 advertised vacancies t every claimant, frtunes cntinue t sar fr thse seeking wrk in and arund the university city. Custmer Service rles, having previusly tpped the charts fr salary grwth, drpped ut f the tp five fr the first time in several mnths, with an average increase f 1.3%, equalling half the gains seen in HR salaries in ust 20.
