Each year we strive t prvide the best training experience available anywhere in the regin. And this year is n different. We have decided t try smething new this year by having ur reginal fire schl fr tw weekends, May 4, 5, 6 and 11, 12, 13. Once again ur staff has assembled a very knwledgeable and highly respected grup f instructrs frm West Virginia University Fire Service Extensin, t prvide yu with the hands n training and skills needed in rder t be mre effective in the first line f defense during any type f emergency, in yur respective cmmunities. Prerequisites: Fire Fighter I. Students must bring full PPE t include SCBA and spare bttle. All students shall be clean shaven. Students must have Fire Fighter Skills 3 rd Editin (Jnes & Bartlett). This is an additinal charge frm fire schl registratin Intrductin t Technical Rescue - 48 Hurs Curse Descriptin: This is the NEW 48-hur Rescue Cre curse! Intrductin t Technical Rescue. At the cnclusin f the curse, the student will be trained and have certificates fr Vehicle Awareness level, Machinery Awareness level, Wilderness Search and Rescue Awareness level, Rpe Rescue Awareness and Rpe Rescue Operatins levels t the NFPA Standard 1006, 2017 editin. Prerequisites: Students must bring full PPE. N SCBA is required

5 05-03 Fire Officer I and II - 48 Hurs Curse Descriptin: Designed t meet the jb perfrmance requirements f NFPA 1021, 2014 Editin. It identifies the requirements necessary t perfrm the duties f a first-line t mid-level supervisr. Intrduces the student t the cncepts f management and supervisin n such tpics as: Organizatinal Structure, Cmmunicatin Skills, Human Resurce Management, Public Relatins, Planning, Emergency Service Delivery, Safety, infrmatin management, gvernment structure, and department budget planning and management. The student is required t have the handbk Fire Officer: Principles and Practices 3 rd Editin (Jnes & Bartlett). If the student requires WVU t prvide the handbk the cst is $ NOTE: If yu already have Principles and Practices Skills 3 rd Editin (Jnes & Bartlett) Bk there is n charge. Effective TIM reduces the duratin and impacts f traffic incidents and imprves the safety f mtrists, crash victims and emergency re-spnders. The TIM Prgram f the Federal Highway Administratin (FHWA) is part f a larger all-hazards prgram called Emergency Transprtatin Operatins (ETO). Prerequisites: N/A NIMS Hurs - Apprved fr Supervisry & Basic Officer LET Credits Curse Descriptin: The ICS 300: Intermediate ICS fr Expanding Incidents curse prvides training fr persnnel wh require advanced applicatin f the Incident Cmmand System (ICS). This curse expands upn infrmatin cvered in the ICS 100 and ICS 200 curses. NIMS ICS All-Hazards training shuld be cmpleted by persnnel wh are regularly assigned t Functinal, Supprt, r Unit Leader psitins n Type 3 r 4 All-Hazards Incident Management Teams, r by thse persns wh desire t seek credentials/certificatin in thse psitins.

Prerequisites: N/A Active Shter fr Supervisrs Curse Syllabus: 16 Hurs - Apprved fr Basic Officer LET Credits LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS ONLY NO EXCEPTIONS This 16 hur cmprehensive curse is designed t give supervisrs the intermediate tactical peratins skills required when respnding t active shter situatins, hstage situatins, barricaded suspect situatins, dwned fficer rescue, and high risk warrant service. Curse Outline: This curse will give supervisrs the skills needed t prperly implement the tactics and cncepts required t respnd t any type f active shter situatin. This will be accmplished by giving supervisrs instructin in the fllwing areas. Preplanning. Managing persnnel at the incident scene. Quick respnse t incidents that invlve an active shter. Prerequisites: N/A NIMS Hurs - Apprved fr Supervisry & Basic Officer LET Credits Curse Descriptin: The ICS 400: Advanced ICS fr Cmmand and General Staff curse prvides training fr persnnel wh require advanced applicatin f the Incident Cmmand System (ICS). This curse expands upn infrmatin cvered in ICS 100 thrugh ICS 300 curses, which are prerequisites fr the ICS 400 curse. The target audience fr this curse is senir persnnel wh are expected t perfrm in a management capacity in an Area Cmmand r Multi- Agency Crdinatin Entity.

8 Prerequisites: N/A Helicpter Rescue 8 Hurs Curse Descriptin: The sessin begins with a classrm presentatin n helicpter cnstructin, fire dangers, and the prper apprach t attack helicpter fires. The prgram cncludes with a live fire exercise in a prpane fired helicpter burn simulatr. Prerequisites: Fire Fighter I, Full PPE t include SCBA and spare bttle. All students shall be clean shaven.
