3 FY Guidelines, GRANT APPLICATION SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL LAND STRATEGY GRANTS This is the Applicatin frm fr Sustainable Agricultural Land Strategy grants under the FY Guidelines fr the Sustainable Agricultural Lands Cnservatin Prgram (SALCP Guidelines). The SALCP Guidelines detail the backgrund and requirements t apply fr funding under the prgram. Applicants shuld familiarize themselves with the SALCP Guidelines prir t cmpleting this Grant Applicatin, and refer t it fr questins regarding the frm cntents. SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION Grant applicatins fr this cmpnent f the SALCP prgram will be reviewed ne time per year. 9 WORK PLAN Applicants must prvide a detailed wrk plan (3 pages maximum) that includes a wrk plan summary. The wrk plan summary specifies what steps will be taken t develp the agricultural land strategy r plan, including establishing milestnes and task. The wrk plan summary shuld be f sufficient detail t allw assessment f the prgress f the wrk plan at regular intervals. This plan will be a cmpnent f the grant agreement shuld the prject be selected fr funding. The wrk plan shuld clearly address: The gals and bjectives including implementatin (e.g., strategy, timeline, cmmitted resurces, partner supprt) The plan deliverables Wrk Plan Summary -- A tabular summary (example belw) indicating the specific milestnes and task timetables f the wrk plan must be included. The estimated cst fr each are t be itemized in the budget. 12 SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION AREA MAP Applicants must prvide a map r image depicting the area t be cvered by the prpsed plan (the gegraphical purview f the plan). The map shuld generally depict the area, including the extent f its agricultural resurces, urban and/r rural land uses, and any ancillary map data t supprt the need fr the prpsal. 6 Maps r images must fit int an 8 ½ x 11 flder. SIGNED RESOLUTION FROM THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OR CITY COUNCIL Applicants must submit a signed Reslutin f Supprt authrizing wrk t be cmpleted under the prpsal. A sample reslutin indicating the frmat and cntent f an authrizing reslutin is available n the SALCP web site. The reslutin may be submitted subsequent t the applicatin, if the bard meeting schedule prevents the applicant frm btaining a signed reslutin befre the filing deadline. Submit the draft reslutin with the applicatin package and indicate the bard meeting date when the reslutin will be adpted. LETTERS FROM PARTNERS DOCUMENTING THEIR PARTICIPATION Applicants must prvide letters that dcument the participatin f the partners identified in the Applicatin Questins and Wrk Plan. Please refer t the SALCP Guidelines, page 16.
