3 MERCURY COLLEGES LOCATIONS Mercury has two campuses in Sydney. Both campuses are strategically located near train and bus stations to facilitate your access to the college. SYDNEY CBD CAMPUS Our campus is a 5 minutes walking from Town Hall station a major railway station in CBD and just next door to Museum station. This course is suitable for students from Beginner to Upper Intermediate levels. I E L T S IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is the standard test used for university entry in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Britain and much of the United States. An IELTS score is often a requirement of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) of Australia for migration purposes. 18 STUDENT ACTIVITIES Mercury Colleges offers a variety of social events for students every 5 weeks. These events include workshops, sporting activities, karaoke, and nights out dancing, parties and visits to famous Sydney landmarks. STUDENT SERVICES All the student are required to attend an orientation session. The session contains detailed information covering all aspects of your course and living in Sydney. Remember that at the College, we have a Student Services Officer to help you with any part of your stay to ensure that you are completely satisfied and happy studying with us. We provide the following help for students: Orientation Sessions (for English Courses every Monday at 12 pm; for VET Courses the Friday prior the Intake Date at 10 am) Work Permission (once you have work permission you are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week) Any documents and correspondence needed i.e. Confirmation of Enrolment Letters, Attendance Letters, Certificates, tuition fees invoices, etc Student ID cards Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) information Assistance to apply for a Tax File Number Accommodation and general enquiries Coordinating Group Study Tours Students event program STUDY TOURS We can design programs with special English classes in the morning and cultural afternoon activities such as sight seeing, historic tours or wildlife experience.. All language components are taught by experienced, qualified teachers who are regular staff at Mercury Colleges. The aim of the program is to improve students English skills while giving students the opportunity to learn about Australia.

You can study English from 4 to 48 weeks. We will assess your English level (give you a test) when you start your first day and place you into a class according to your ability. For Vocational courses please refer to the description in this brochure I have already done some of these subjects at another college, or at work. Do I need to study these parts of the course again? No. You can apply for RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) if it is based on your work experience and for Course Credit if it is based on studies completed at another Australian RTO. Do I need to take the IELTS test to get into VET programs? To study Business courses you need an IELTS score of 5.5. You don t need this exam if you have studied at Mercury College in the English course and you achieved Intermediate Level. How can I pay my fees? Payment can be made to the college through the following methods: Direct Deposit into our bank account Cash payment Credit Card-Payment by either Visa, Mastercard, or Bankcard Transfer of fees from an Overseas bank account to bank account Bank draft or bank cheque.
