2 CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION The International Ultmann Chicago Lymphoma Symposium (IUCLS) is an annual conference dedicated solely to the science and clinical care of lymphoma. This year s program offered in May 2018 represents the 15th IUCLS. It has been organized to honor the achievements of Dr. John Ultmann, a pioneer in the treatment of lymphoma, who devoted his life to the understanding of this disease. He was particularly known for his work on the staging of Hodgkin lymphoma and the utility of staging as a guide for treatment. As a certified Continuing Medical Education activity, participants will learn about the biologic, diagnostic, and therapeutic aspects of Hodgkin and non-hodgkin lymphoma through the combination of expert presentations, interactive case discussions, poster/ abstract presentations, and question-and-answer debates. The audience is comprised of regional practicing oncologists, advanced nurse practitioners and physician assistants, registered nurses, residents, fellows, and the Chicago academic community that includes five academic centers. This year the symposium will be held at the Kimpton Gray Hotel, Friday May 4th through Saturday May 5th, The symposium s agenda on Friday afternoon will concentrate on the scientific and translation aspects of lymphoma, while the agenda on Saturday will have a clinical focus. A special nursing session has been added on Friday morning that includes an overview of the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of lymphoma along with two panel discussions. LEARNING OBJECTIVES At the conclusion of this education activity, participants will be able to: Describe the evolving role of cellular therapy in lymphoma treatment; Identify new targets and therapeutic agents in lymphoma treatment; Recognize the appropriate circumstances in which to use different immune-oncology options in lymphoma treatment; Evaluate how new scientific data affects the treatment of Hodgkin lymphoma; Discuss the appropriate sequencing of agents in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) treatment based upon the latest scientific evidence; Identify patients in need of central nervous system (CNS) prophylaxis using the latest guidelines; Distinguish when to employ treatments for various T-cell lymphoma histologies; Outline how timing affects the use of CAR-T as a therapeutic option for lymphoma. ACCREDITATION AND CREDIT DESIGNATION Pritzker School of is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Pritzker School of designates this live activity for a maximum of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
