Target Audience Lactation consultants, nurses, nurse practitioners, nutritionists, public health practitioners, midwives, health educators, doulas, peer counselors, breastfeeding support volunteers, physicians, physician assistants, chiropractors, speech pathologists and healthcare profession students Learning Objectives At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to: Explain the functional difference between an anterior and posterior tongue-tie. Name the hormone implicated in recent research as suppressing normal glandular development. Explain the concept of first and second level approaches to dealing with lactation failure secondary to thyroid dysfunction.
