The Western Pediatric Trauma Conference will take place July 12-14, 2017 in Santa Barbara, California at the Bacara Resort and Spa. The Western Pediatric Trauma Conference features nationally renowned faculty in the fi elds of pediatric trauma, the pediatric surgical sub-specialties, critical care, emergency medicine and pre-hospital care. The program content is targeted to physicians and health care professionals who care for injured children. Participants will be able to propose practice improvements to their teams based on evidence-based guidelines, tools and resources presented at the conference. Opportunities for oral and poster abstract (scientifi c and best practice) presentations are available. Oral presentations are eligible for manuscript publication in the Journal of Pediatric Surgery or the Journal of Trauma Nursing. For complete information visit Conference Outcomes This educational offering enables the pediatric healthcare provider to: Apply newly acquired knowledge in the management of pediatric trauma patients. Formulate resuscitation strategies using evidence-based guidelines. Select appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic algorithms for specifi c injury types. Assess the evidence supporting diagnostic algorithms and clinical pathways. Continuing Education Credit A certifi cate of attendance will be available upon completion of the online evaluation.
