Maryland businesses welcome back the Maryland Business Works Program (MBW). The highly successful incumbent worker training program is designed to assist small Maryland businesses to further develop talent by offering sizeable monetary assistance to off-set training costs that the business may incur. The Maryland Business Works Program offers a dollar -to-dollar match for training and businesses may be eligible for up to $40,000 per year. These funds are available for classroom, in-house, apprenticeships and other trainings to assist businesses in developing their internal employees and to strengthen and grow talent pipelines. With the backing of Governor Larry Hogan and DLLR Secretary Kelly Schulz, the State has invested $1,000,000 and is dedicated to supporting small Maryland businesses, workers and their families by focusing on growth strategies that will make incumbent workers more valuable and businesses more successful.
