2 The Talent Investment Agency (TIA) was created by Executive Order No , in December 2014, to address the gap between workers with the right skills and employers in need of highly skilled workers for the jobs of today and tomorrow. TIA coordinates programs related to: Job Preparedness Career-Based Education Worker Training Employment Assistance Unemployment Insurance 2

5 Healthcare Workers are In-Demand Today and Tomorrow! There are currently 12,422 healthcare jobs posted on Pure Michigan Talent Connect (mitalent.org), representing 12% of all postings. By 2024, healthcare occupations will grow by 11.9%, outpacing average growth of 7.4 over the period. Healthcare occupations are expected to add 14,190 jobs each year. Of those, 4,980 will come from growth and 9,210 will come from the need to replace existing workers. 5
