We are here to help. Dear Brothers, As you can clearly see from all the reports, we are in the peak of the hurricane season. By the time this message is posted, Hurricane Florence will most likely have been a tremendous natural disaster effecting millions of U.S. citizens. We, here in Florida, have all been through the same kind of life-altering event. Although we have been spared so far this year, let us not forget about the brothers and sisters who are suffering from last years Irma. The Lodges of Miami-Dade, Broward counties, and others throughout the state, have responded to assist with recovery. But, there is still a lot to do, especially in the Keys. Keep all those from the states effected in your prayers. The hurricane season is far from over. Be prepared...be diligent. The plans for our outdoor degree are continuing to evolve. W. Clay Mitchell is still looking for individual Lodges to take on tasks associated with this district event. Please step up and volunteer to make this a memorable event for those Brothers being Raised. Two significant changes have occurred to the initial planning. We will not be asking the individual Lodges for funding. We will be issuing a stock of meal tickets to the Masters, at a cost of $10. This will allow us to purchase adequate meals for those wishing to eat prior to the Degree. This will make it equitable. Secondly, we will accommodate as many Brothers who are proficient in the FC and wish to be Raised at that time. The planning and the gift purchasing for the Masonic Home Christmas Party, are underway. The party will be held on Saturday, December 8th. A heartfelt thanks goes out to Janet Binder for doing all the shopping. The date, time and location for the wrapping part will be announced asap. I have currently negotiated a price of $109 + tax for rooms at the Comfort Inn very close to the home. Please start considering your travel and accommodation plans so that we can take advantage of this new facility. Lastly, I have a commitment from Mahi Shriners, that they would make their bus available for those who would prefer to make this a day trip. For those who would like to take advantage of this offer, the cost for driver and fuel will be $600. Of course, there will be a skit by Abbott and Costello and the much anticipated, Santa Claus! Dewey Hawkins Lodge No. 331 December -- 26th Coral Springs Lodge No. 373 Hello Brothers of District 26, I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this Masonic year as much as I am. As we progress through this Masonic year, I would like to remind you all that we are having an outdoor Master Mason degree November 17th being held at the Sawgrass Recreation Center. The degree team will be working very hard on their preparation for the degree so the brothers going through the degree can experience a very proficient ceremony. It has been determined that the Christmas party our district puts on every year at the Masonic Home will take place on Saturday December 8th, not Saturday December 15th. The Grand Master had to change the date of the Grand Line meeting which is held at the Masonic home from the 15th to the 8th, which is why our district is changing the date of our Christmas party. With this said, we as a district need to rally our efforts behind our DDGM in an effort to get the preparations done and have a great party at the home. Remember who benefits from our efforts; the home s residents! That is ultimately why we do this. I look forward to seeing all my brothers Wednesday evening at our Masters and Wardens meeting. Take care my brothers and be well. With much Fraternal love, W:.M:.
