We have a new Lodge in District 33 and its North Broward No.404, but we lost two Lodges, Pompano No. 263, 80 years old and Deerfield No years old. Congratulation goes out to W:. 3 BUSINESS CARD DIRECTORY It is that time of year again my Brothers. Your Masters & Wardens Association will be printing its' third annual business card directory. The profits realized from this project will be used to purchase the gifts for our Masonic Home residents. There are currently 93 residents and three more were approved yesterday. Brothers, for those of you that may recall, we had to endure long hours at Joe Robbie Stadium and Young Circle in Hollywood to raise the funds for the annual gift giving. All we ask for is $ and a business card (you can purchase four business card size ads, which equal one page, for $300.00) We have had an average 50 business card advertisements, which, considering there are in excess of 1,000 Broward County Masons, is pretty bad. I am requesting the secretaries of the lodge to read this at each stated meeting through the Masters and Wardens meeting in August, which is the cutoff date. If possible, I am also requesting that this message be in your next two trestleboards to reach the members which do not regularly attend or are out of State. Let them know if they do not have a business card, they can write something on their own behalf, that of a Brother or their lodge such as well wishes, in memory of, etc. Please send the business card and check, payable to Masters & Wardens, to my office, 7301-A West Palmetto Park Road, Suite 305-C, Boca Raton, Fl or drop it off at the next two Masters and Wardens meetings. Harry Kienzle will try and open the books early so some of us can look at the words prior to instruction. This will be open to Master Mason's only, and you must have a current dues card for admission. Youth Corner Love Assembly Raibow Girls Events Saturday, August 1st starting at 1:00 PM Sleep-over at Roe Fulkerson Lodge. Cost is $3.00. This event is open to all girls ages who are interested in Rainbow Girls or would like to learn more. Come for the night or enjoy an afternoon of fun and eat dinner with us. My Brethren All, I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July and celebrated our countries Birthday with family and loved ones. July started off with a bang with my first visitation to West Broward Lodge No. 253, my home Lodge. It was a night I will always remember and cherish. Many long time friends and Brothers were in attendance and the evening was elegant and well done. Thank you W Chartrand and All the Officers and Brothers of West Broward Lodge. My visitation to Roe Fulkerson Lodge No.299 was also a night to be remembered. Myself and all my Committeeman were welcomed and received with the Friendship and Brotherly love Roe Fulkerson is known for. Thanks to W Dunn and his Officers and the many Brothers in attendance. Back to the business at hand. I want to remind all Master Mason s that the Books are now available to see the esoteric work at Doric Lodge No 140, on the first Wednesday of every Month, Thanks to R W Al McDonald PDDGM and R H Harry Kienzle our District Instructor. I encourage you to come out and learn the work. Become proficient, in your work, for you as well as your Lodge. All of the Lodges in the 33rd District have had a growing number of Candidates applying for membership in our great Fraternity. I encourage you to appoint a Lodge Mentor for these Brothers using the Grand Lodge Booklets to help Educate them and keep them knowledgeable and interested in growing in our Fraternity. Also I want to encourage everyone to support our Business Card Directory. This my Brothers is just one way we can raise money to help with our Grand Master s visit in October and the purchase of gifts, at Christmas, for the residence at our Masonic Home. I want to congratulate all the Elected and Appointed Officers of our Districts newest Lodge, North Broward Lodge No.404. The Consolidation and Installation was well attended by all the Lodges in our District and I want to thank our Most Worshipful Grand Master Dale I. Goehrig and all the Grand Lodge Officers for their assistance in this endeavor. I look forward to seeing many of you at future visitations. We had a good turn out for the first opening of the books. Many brothers were amazed that they no longer had to figure out what the ciphers meant. The words were actually written out to read. We have many new Brothers learning the rituals and lectures, so it s important to see for themselves the actual words.
