I hope everyone has great holidays and gets to spend time with friends and family. Election season is here and all nominations for Masters and Wardens have to be in by the start of our November meeting. So if you re planning on nominating somebody as per Grand Lodge it must be presented by the start of the meeting in November and must accompany a signature or letter from the nominee. Don t forget there s a Christmas Party in December at the Masonic Home on Saturday December 16th. Every year Broward County throws this party for our Brothers and Sisters at the home. Our District Deputy Grand Master says it s going to be the best Christmas party ever! I would also like to remind everyone that on March 10th we will be doing a fundraiser for the First Lady s Project at the Masonic Home called The Diamonds and Gold Ladies Night. The Grand Master and his officers will be there. All proceeds benefit the First Lady s Project which this year is the physical therapy room. If you cannot attend this event you can donate money or an item to be raffled off. (Please see me). We are accepting items such as wine baskets or baskets of items to be raffled off from anyone who wishes to donate them. We are also doing corporate sponsorships to any corporate entity that wishes to donate. Tickets are $55 with discounts available on tables of 10. There will be a radio personality playing the best music from the 70s to today. With lots of fun and the solid gold jewelry auctions. This is a District 26 event so we thank everyone who is able to attend or donate. Please make every effort to attend this event. This is my first year hosting this event and hope to make it even better than it s been in the past. This event has been the highlight of festivities for several years, please let s keep it a success. I have had a lot of fun this year and would like to thank the officers of Masters and Wardens for all their advice and assistance this year. I have the utmost respect for each of my officers and hope they continue to serve. God bless W:. Luigi Gandolfo PM President Masters & Wardens District 26th W:. I hope you will take the time to reflect on the blessings we have been given. Our families, our friends, and our freedoms are truly great gifts. I hope you will also reflect on the sacrifices made by those who have helped to protect those gifts. Say a special prayer and ask the Great Architect to protect the soldiers, sailors, marines, and airman who make our way of life possible. Especially ask him to bless those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and their families. I would like to thank the Worshipful Master and Brethren of Doric, Coral Springs, J. Dewey Hawkins, and North Star Lodges for their warm reception on my official visits. I m looking forward to the rest of the visits which are listed below. Roe Fulkerson Lodge No November 2 nd Eureka-North Shore No December 21 st West Broward Lodge No January 4 th, 2018 North Broward Lodge No January 18 th, 2018 I also want to thank my fellow Secretary s for having the checklists completed for the visit. I know it s extra paperwork for you to do but, it is a good guide to use to see if your Lodge is following the guidelines set forth by the Digest and Grand Lodge. As you may know, there are times I travel to Grand Master s Official Visits in other Districts. I want to take the time to thank the Brothers who have been traveling with me to them. I appreciate you taking the time to join me. It certainly beats traveling alone. It will soon be time for Lodge elections. Be sure that your nominations for the elected officers are turned in on time, which is before the gavel falls at the first Stated Meeting in November. Our Masonic Home Christmas Party is just around the corner. In fact, it s scheduled for December 16 th. It is a great time to see what a wonderful facility our Home is. If you have not been there, I highly recommend you take the time and go. Without a doubt, it is most impressive. Along with that, I know you will enjoy the time we spend with the residents as well as with each other. With regard to the Christmas party, I hope to have more info on the hotel by the time we have our Masters and Wardens meeting. We are planning on using the same hotel and are just waiting for the confirmation on pricing and availability from them. Finally, Brothers, on behalf of the Most Worshipful Grand Master, I m asking all the Lodges to double check their contribution to L.Y.P.M.G.C. I will be contacting each Lodge to confirm their contributions are up to date and the monies collected are being sent in. I hope all of you enjoy the time with your families. My best to all of you and to them. Fraternally, 26th MASONIC DISTRICT DISTRICT DEPUTY GRAND MASTER R W Richard L.
