I will do my best to honorably represent the brothers of the 26th Masonic District. I will always be available to field questions and/or problems as they may arise. Grand Lodge was a great success. The legislation important to the survival of the individual Lodges, and Masonry, was passed by a wide margins. We as a craft may now rent our buildings, where alcohol may be served, for non-masonic events. This increased revenue can be used to offset the costs of maintaining our Lodges so they will be attractive to clients. Please ensure the all of the provisos are followed. Where there are "extra" funds, we can once again, contribute to our mission of charity. Again, proposals for recognition for Prince Hall and the Grand Lodge of Cuba were recognized. We may again see globalization of our fraternity. First on our agenda, will be the official visit of our newly installed Grand Master, John Karroum. This will be held on July 7th, Registration 5:30pm. Dinner at 6:30 pm. Program 7:30 pm. I will need all the help you can provide. I have assistance for the sign in tables and several of the vital tasks. But, there is a lot to do. Set up will be Friday July 6th at 5:00 pm at the American Legion. Let's make this the best visitation in the state. I want to thank you all in advance for your support. There is really nothing new to report that I haven t already talked about. At the reading of this writing I will have had my first meeting as your president and certainly look forward to fulfilling the balance of the year working hard to be the best I can be in this present role. I would like to take this opportunity to remind everybody about the Grand Masters official visit to our District. It is at the American Legion July 7th. The Friday before, July 6th, we are looking for brothers to come out to the American Legion to help setup to room for the GMOV the next night. Any help is greatly appreciated. As mentioned before, let s support our DDGM, RW Phil Slack in this endeavor! Also, as a reminder the district is putting on an outdoor Master Mason degree November 17th at the Sawgrass Recreation Center and we could use the support from the district as well. Please contact brother Clay Mitchel to see what assistance may be needed in putting this on. It is events like this that bring the district and the brothers in the district together, so let s chip in and help make it happen. Lastly, if anyone has any ideas or thoughts that we can do as a district function, please bring them forward. All suggestions are good suggestions and worthy of discussion. Looking forward to seeing all my brothers at the next Masters and Wardens meeting; until then be well. Peace and harmony prevailing! W:.M:. Cell: mtishman@8thdomaintechnology.com Open Books (5:00 PM-8:00 PM) July 16th 2018 at Doric Lodge No. 140 School of instruction (7:00PM-8:00PM) July 16th 2018 at Doric Lodge No. 140 My Brothers, Thank you all who attended our first open books and school of instruction for the new masonic year on June 18th. We had a lot of information to go over and I trust everyone recognizes the importance of the information shared. Our focus for this year will continue to be Doing it by the books, and our agenda for the year will follow the floorwork book chapter by chapter by chapter. With the 4th of July holiday falling on the same day as our first get together in July we will NOT be meeting so everyone can enjoy some quality family time. And we will be getting back on track and meeting on Monday July 16th. For those desirous of obtaining your proficiency cards I am here to help at open books, during the day via phone ( ), or in the evenings at my place in Coral Springs. Together let s get it done! And last but not least, it has come to my attention that we need to revisit the ritual and our procedures for reception of the RWDDGM at our particular lodges, so we will be going over this as well at out next meeting on July 16th.
