We meet the second Wednesday of each month. Carol Howell will be speaking at our October meeting. Flu Shots at FBC Sunday, October 21 (10:15 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.) Wednesday, October 24 (2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.) The flu shot stations this year will be located in the main hall outside of Room 210. Bring your insurance card with you. Sign up online at fbcrh.us/flu-shots18 SC DISASTER RELIEF TRAINING Saturday, October 13 (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at FBC) This event provides training for those interested in meeting needs after a disaster. Classes are offered in the various ministry areas of disaster relief: damage assessment, children s response teams, chaplains, communications, feeding, flood response (mud-out), chainsaw, rebuild, shower/laundry, administration. Additionally, an Introduction to Disaster Relief class is required of all new volunteers on Friday, October 12 or Saturday, October 13 (at no additional charge) for those that register for the Saturday training. WORSHIP CHOIR S 2018 CHRISTMAS RECORDING Last Monday and Tuesday, the Worship Choir completed the recording a new Christmas CD titled The Worship of Christmas. This collection of songs includes some traditional favorites plus some written just for this project. You can reserve your copy today at the Music and Worship table in the back of the Worship Center. Cost is $10.00 if purchased before November 18. RECURRING GIVING If you haven t done it yet, now is the perfect time to set up recurring giving so you won t have to worry about your tithe. 3 TREBUCHET PUMPKIN FLING COMPETITION & FESTIVAL Saturday, October 27 (3:00 p.m. at Chuck Hood s Farm) The Men s Corps Ministry of our church is holding a Trebuchet Pumpkin Fling Competition and Festival. Joyce s program will be titled Songs I Grew Up Singing and feature songs by Connie Francis, Elvis, Patsy Cline, and also include favorite gospel hymns. The cost is $5 per person. 4 WEEKLY YOUTH SEBO Sunday Evenings (5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at two different locations) Middle School Students: Students meet in The Rock. We will have high energy games and activities geared toward 6th-8th graders. There will be times of worship and teaching. Students will be encouraged to lead in all areas. High School Students Students will gather at Doug & Melanie Westmoreland s house (1734 Red Cedar Lane, Rock Hill SC 29732) and have a conversation about God, the Bible, and World in which they live. LOOK UP LODGE 2018 Saturday, October 20, 2018 to Monday, October 22, All Day Youth retreat for middle and high school students. Must be in grades Location is Look Up Lodge, Travelers Rest, SC.
