2 Jacksonville Memorial COMMANDER S CORNER Well its spring time and the clocks have been set forward 1 hr. The days are getting longer and more time to do things around the Post and at your home, but the Post still needs some TLC. I have posted the color chips on the wall for the Post interior; come in and give your input, after all it is the Legion family s building. I am listening to your feedback on what the Post needs are. But I can't do it alone so if you have some spare time to help let us know, we have a new storage container in the back of the building and all the things thatt we use that are stored in the attic and the storage area's inside could go inside the container, so we need help with that and I would like to schedule a post cleanup day in the very near future to make our Post shine again. Membership is laggingg behind PLEASE get your dues in if you have not paid them. I want to thank all the volunteer's that have stepped up so far to keep the Post going. And last, but not least, Welcome Aboard to our newest Legion Members, Timothy Chambers and Keith Robbins, both US Army Veterans of the Persian Gulf War. In Service To You, Ken Foldy, Commander ADJUTANT Every Saturday in April there will be an Allwell Agent on site at from 10:00 AM 1:00 PM. The Agent is made available to help Members understand their Medicare Benefits and to help determine if there are any Medicare benefits you might be missing out on. So, whether you are new to Medicare, or whether you ve been on it for a while, you may gain some benefit to speaking with this Agent. The Agent can speak with you one on one, or if enough people participate, the Agent can hold a seminar. As of 01 MAR 2018, the post no longer mails hardcopies of the newsletter via US Mail. It is sent electronically via , and hardcopies are available at the post. If you are not wired to the internet, or have a have a situation that makes it hard for you to get to the post, then contactt the COMMANDER or ADJUTANT and we will make arrangements to get a copy of the newsletter to you. Legionnaires, the Post By laws are under review for revision. This revision will be discussed and voted upon during the Legion General Meeting on 12 APR The current draft has been posted on the Legion Board in the lobby for your review since our last General Meeting held 08 MAR The the first round of nominations have been held for the Legion 88 Nomination / Election of Officers for Legion Year.
