NAME: ABBOTT & FENNER DUE: June 14, 2013 CRITERIA: High school junior or senior. Must write an essay on one of two topics. Apply online: NAME: ACT POSTER CONTEST DUE: January 21, ,000 CRITERIA: Must be junior or senior who is a U.S. resident and is willing to design a poster that encourages students to attend college and to take the ACT college entrance exam. Apply online: NAME: ANIMATION CAREER REVIEW ASPIRING ANIMATION PROFESSIONAL DUE: June 1, 2013 CRITERIA: Must be a senior with strong academic achievement planning to pursue an animation related degree. Students must submit essay. 2 NAME: ART INSTITUTES PASSION FOR FASHION COMPETITION DUE: February 14, 2013 AMOUNT: $Up to a half-tuition at The Art Institute (plus a VIP trip to New York City) CRITERIA: Must be a senior, 2.0 GPA min., planning to attend The Art Institute. Competition categories are in Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing & Merchandising and Retail Management. Students must submit essay and product. (CAC) DUE: January 15, 2013 AMOUNT: $1,500 - $2,500 CRITERIA: Must be a senior. 3 NAME: CHICANO ORGANIZING AND RESEARCH IN EDUCATION (CORE) DUE: Deadline information available sometime soon check website - $1,000 CRITERIA: Must be a senior of Latino descent, undocumented (born outside of the US but lives here without legal permission of the federal govt.), able to demonstrate financial need and academic potential. More information and application online: NAME: CHRISTERMON FOUNDATION DUE: February 1, 2013 AMOUNT: $2,000 - $5,000 CRITERIA: Must be a senior, 3.0 GPA min., whose parent or guardian is employed full time with a company or individual holding a valid California liquor/beer/wine license and participates in athletics and/or performing arts for BOTH 11 th & 12 th grade.
