5 CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS Accreditation Continuing Nursing Education Credit The Institute for Medical and Nursing Education, Inc (IMNE) is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center s (ANCC s) Commission on Accreditation. This educational program provides contact hours of continuing education credit. Disclosure It is the policy of IMNE to ensure balance, independence, objectivity and scientific rigor in all its sponsored educational programs. All faculty participating in sponsored programs by IMNE are expected to disclose to the program audience any associated or apparent conflict(s) of interest related to the content of their presentation(s). Accredited status does not imply endorsement by IMNE or American Nurses Credentialing Center s Commission on Accreditation of any commercial products used for demonstration purposes. Information regarding disclosures and resolution of any potential conflicts of interest will be addressed in the program book. What is a CERP? A continuing education recognition point (CERP) equals 60 minutes of continuing education. Some sponsored sessions award CERPs instead of traditional continuing education (CE) credit. Many state board of nursing and other certification organizations recognize CERPs as meeting continuing education requirements. AACN recommends consulting with the state board or credentialing organization before submitting CERPs to fulfill continuing education requirements.
