2 Many of you are certified in your specialty as a CPAN or a CAPA. Many more of you are thinking about taking that step towards validating your knowledge and practice. Of the 55,000 of us practicing whether as clinicians at the bedside, advanced practice nurses, clinical nurse specialists, managers, coordinators or educators, we all depend on staying informed about the most current information available in our practice arenas. As s President, I am proud to share that our education and academic experts continually explore strategies to ensure that s compelling vision regarding education goals are met, that is, to be the indispensable resource for perianesthesia education and knowledge. The members of s Education Provider Committee are committed to ensure that perianesthesia nursing education needs are carefully assessed. programs are continually revised based on careful review of past seminar evaluation feedback that is provided by our participants, as well as faculty who interact and network closely with perianesthesia nurses across the country. This group works tirelessly to continuously develop innovative programming to help meet those requests and identified educational needs. Seminars are designed with the purposes of exploring specific clinical practice issues, supporting certification preparation, and targeting the widening scope of practice expertise for attendees. s seminars offer various topics for perianesthesia nurses practicing in all areas where preanesthesia, preoperative, postanesthesia and postsedation care is delivered. These seminars offer current trends in standards and practice guidelines, education, clinical practice and research to maintain and expand your skills and knowledge base. Regardless of whether you are in the first months of this specialty, or are a veteran practitioner, has a wide curriculum of seminars that are custom made for your needs.
