2 OVERVIEW The purpose of this conference is to provide pharmacology information in multiple areas, promoting clinical excellence and improving the quality of care to patients. AUDIENCE The primary audience is nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and advanced practice clinicians; however, the program content is relevant to the broader health-care community. CREDIT Penn State College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. AMA Credit Penn State College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Consistent with AMA guidelines, nurse practitioners and physician assistants will receive a certificate verifying their participation in the activity. The certificate will indicate that the program was approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit TM. Nurse practitioners please note: This program includes 6.0 contact hours of pharmacology education as required for certification renewal by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
