3 KE S VEGAS Italian-style architecture and sidewalk cafes, all set around a 320-acre lake, the sparkling centerpiece for the resort community of luxury hotels, Lake Las Vegas is a Mediterranean oasis created in the middle of the desert. Las Vegas City Highlights Tour Sunday, April 14, :45 p.m. 9:45 p.m. Las Vegas is a true original a classic and there is nothing else like it in the world. Today, guests will depart on a city highlights tour giving them a small taste of the Strip and Downtown Las Vegas. This tour is the perfect overview for guests who have not traveled to Las Vegas before, or for those looking to see the city in a few hours. As the tour departs the hotel, a knowledgeable guide will begin with a then and now history of the Las Vegas Strip. The guide will talk about the days of the Stardust, the Dunes, Elvis and the Rat Pack and how each of those elements helped make Las Vegas what it is today. Guests will learn about the movers and shakers in Las Vegas such as the infamous Steve Wynn and the empire that he has built. As the tour continues south on Las Vegas Boulevard, guests will have the opportunity to stop at the Welcome To Las Vegas Sign, which recently underwent a makeover, now making the sign safely accessible for photo opportunities. Sightseers will then head to Downtown Las Vegas and visit hotels such as the Golden Nugget and see where it all began... Clinical Nutrition Management (CNM), a Dietetic Practice Group (DPG) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, is authorized by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to award a maximum of 20.0 CPEUs for the Symposium program, 1.5 CPEUs for the optional Sunday Informatics Open Session and 2.0 additional CPEUs for exhibits as applicable for Registered Dietitians (RDs) and Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTRs). Sessions will be offered as Level 2 or Level 3 training with options for Learning Need Code categories provided onsite for Professional Development Portfolio activity logging. Handouts The CNM Symposium has gone paperless! This new paperless format means that there will no longer be an educational session handout book. Instead, all registrants will receive instructions after they have registered to attend the symposium on how to access session handouts. With this new online format, speakers will have the flexibility to offer additional resources previously not printed in the handout book due to space restrictions and will allow attendees time to review educational session handouts prior to the symposium in order to select those concurrent sessions that best meet their professional development plan. Ground and Air Transportation Ravella at Lake Las Vegas is located approximately 25 minutes from McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. The average one-way taxi fare is $70.
