2 56TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE In Seattle, We Rise Together The MAHC Annual Conference is the nation s best gathering of cooperative housing leaders. Our conferences are designed for those whose mission is to strengthen cooperative housing and the people they serve. During three days in late April, cooperative housing professionals from across the country will convene at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Seattle to take advantage of educational and networking opportunities and share experiences, challenges, solutions, and successes. Participants engage in peer-to-peer educational sessions and learn from national experts on programs and policies to help cooperative housing members. Past conferences have resulted in new and increased collaboration, new approaches, and improved practices across the nation. Seattle Hotel is within walking distance of the flagship Nordstrom department store, Seattle Art Museum, Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square and downtown s best shopping Close to the Seattle Center, the Experience Music Project and the Space Needle Nearby sporting venues include CenturyLink Field and Safeco Field, both less than ten minutes away 02

3 REGISTRATION Registration Policy Advance registration is required. Full payment must be received with registration. Please register by April 15, Early Bird Deadline registrations must be received by February 28, If you have questions or concerns, please contact Annette Dukes, Office Manager, at or call Cancellation Policy All cancellations must be received in writing to MAHC via mail, , or fax. A refund less an administrative fee of $ per registration will be issued if received by Wednesday, February 28, Due to financial obligations incurred by MAHC, no refunds will be issued on cancellations received after February 28, Substitutions will be permitted prior to April 15,2019 without penalty. No changes after April 15, All refunds will be processed after the conference. Or, you may call the hotel central reservations at and say that you are attending Midwest Association of Housing Cooperative Conference. (MAHC) All room reservations must be guaranteed by a first night s non-refundable room deposit. Reserve Your Hotel Room Early Rooms are limited, so please reserve early. The room block cutoff date is April , or when all rooms have been booked, whichever occurs first. After April 4, 2019, or our room block is filled at the Hyatt Regency, reservations will be accepted on a space-available basis only and may be at a rate higher than the group conference rate. The average temperatures for Seattle at the end of April are in the mid to high 60 s F during the day and the low 47s F in the evenings. 7 CONFERENCE INFORMATION Transportation Hyatt Regency Seattle is serviced by Seattle-Tacoma International Airport which is located approximately 15 minutes from the hotel. Taxis: Cost approximately $40 one way from the airport to the hotel which is 19 miles away. Taxi cabs are stationed on the 3rd floor of the garage on the north and south curb Just follow signs to the taxi stand. Shuttle Service: Shuttle Express: From Sea-Tac Airport, shuttle departs from Level 3 of Parking Garage, center curb. Cost: One-way - $19.99 per person one way, or round trip for $36 per person.
