ON MONDAY, MARCH 12 th NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. REGISTRATION WILL RESUME WEEKDAYS, TUESDAY, MARCH 13 th, THROUGH FRIDAY MARCH 30 th FROM 9:00 A.M. TO 3:30 P.M. AT THE RECREATION OFFICE. NON-RESIDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO REGISTER FOR ANY AVAILABLE CLASSES BEGINNING MONDAY, MARCH 19 th You may call the Recreation Office to check class availability. ALL REGISTRANTS MUST BE AGE APPROPRIATE AT THE TIME OF THE FIRST SCHEDULED CLASS. 2 No one will be allowed to register for more than one individual outside his or her immediate family. Payment for all classes must be in the form of check or cash. (Exact change is greatly appreciated). If you have not registered with us before, we will require the following information at the time of registration: Name of participant, Address, Home Telephone Number, Emergency Telephone Number, School, Proof of Age (Birth Certificate or Passport), and Proof of Residency (ONLY a lease, deed, property tax bill, maintenance agreement, most recent cancelled maintenance check, most recent cancelled rent check, or a Community Center Identification Card will be accepted). We encourage anyone who has not previously registered with us to come into the office to be placed in our computer system before the first day of registration. Please be sure to bring in all necessary information as listed above. Doing this will expedite the registration procedure. If you would like to request a refund you must do so within 24 hours of the completion of the first scheduled class. In such a case, a refund will be granted, but the cost of the initial class will be deducted from the amount returned. Our business hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30AM 4:00PM or you may leave a detailed message on our voice mail. We will return your call on the next business day. If you should request a refund prior to the first class, you will receive a full refund. PLEASE NOTE: The Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient registration. In such a case, a full refund will be granted. This class is a hands on class that includes costumes, props, and games from all over the world! Mommies and Daddies get to sing and dance along with their children as well. Parents and children will experience a wide variety of musical pieces and learn musical concepts such as dynamics, tempo, rhythm, tone and pitches. What shape is your bug? What s your favorite fruit? These questions will inspire our little artists to paint circles for ladybugs, experiment with texture as they paint watercolor pictures, sculpt their own unique creations as they learn about waves and water and much more. Limit per Class: 8 Ages: 2 and 3 years Fee: $25.00 Session: 8 weeks In this class, parents will help their children develop artistic skills and build self-confidence. The youngsters will be introduced to drawing, painting and collage. Children must have a parent or adult caretaker present at each class. Tennis Squirts is a great way to learn the fundamental skills including racquet swing, stance, volleying and coordination in a low pressured, fun environment. The Happy Piano program is a powerful educational tool that provides the highest level of excellence for your child s musical enrichment. Your child will learn to play songs on the keyboards that are provided for each class. Small class size means more individual attention! Your 3-5 year old will be inspired to create minimasterpieces by asking How tall is my tree?, What shape is my bug? and What s my favorite fruit?. They will then be taught to apply their answers to exciting art projects by using collage and paint for ladybugs, sculpting beautiful apple trees, creating peel n stick works of art and much more. Your little ones will begin to learn all the ballet basics including positions, turns and combinations to a selection of music from Disney classics. Famous books like The Grouchy Ladybug, The Mixed-Up Chameleon and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See will inspire youngsters to collage ladybug habits, be artsy scientists while testing liquid watercolor and salt techniques and even design a patterned Gaugin still-life. Let this fun-filled acting class unlock your child s imagination. Trained coaches and pre school professionals will offer a positive introduction to soccer in a friendly environment. All participants will receive a certificate at the session s end. While continuing in a fun environment, players will learn the key techniques of soccer including: dribbling, passing and shooting. In addition to new skills, scrimmaging will also be introduced. This program is ideal for our 5 year olds and those 4 year-old children that are confident in group environments. Learn about famous designers in history and how art has influenced their individual collections! In this art class with a fashion twist, you will sketch your ideas and create a little black dress have fun with fabrics and embellishments, paint and design a treat box and even style your own sneakers.
