9 SHARY GOLF COURSE JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAM 2013 Parks & Recreation Welcome to the 2013 Shary Municipal Golf Course Junior Golf Program. The Junior Golf Program is taught by the Golf Course Staff and includes all facets of the game of Golf. The summer program will begin on June 3, 2013 to July 26, Children from the ages of 10 to 18 will start classes at 8:00 A.M. and will end at 12:00 P.M.. Note: Junior golfers under the age of 10 and who have completed Little Linksters Certification can be allowed in this group. Children from the ages 7 to 9 will participate from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., Tuesday & Thursday Only The Junior Golf Program will include teaching of the swing, short game, putting, playing the game. I.E. Classes will be on the driving range, putting green, chipping area and classroom (for rules) each day. Fees for the Junior Golf Program are: Resident: 7-9 Age Group Age Group $50.00 per child (Maximum of $ immediate family) $ per child (Maximum of immediate family) Non-Resident: 7-9 Age Group Age Group $ per child (Maximum of immediate family) per child (Maximum of $ immediate family) Fees are nonrefundable and child participating that does not abide by the rules as determined by golf coaches and golf professionals are subject to being terminated from the program at any time that is deemed necessary. Registration will start on June 3, A parent must accompany child during registration. Another program that junior golfers will be encouraged to participate in is the Rio Grande Valley Junior Golf Tournament Program. Tournaments are scheduled on Monday and Friday morning at different golf courses throughout The Valley. A schedule will be provided once it is finalized. At registration, parents will also be briefed on the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) Games schedules in July. Private lessons will also be available. Also the golf director will be conducting adult clinics each month of the summer. Contact the Pro Shop at (956) for more information on these lessons. 8
