1 Come Get Your Cash The Ottawa Hills student body is invited to join the Volleyball program tonight for the annual Volley for the Cure Breast Cancer awareness match vs Danbury. We want to show support for this cause and for our volleyball program. As an extra incentive, any student that comes to support this volleyball match will be entered into a drawing for 1 of 3 Visa gift cards. Come get your cash!! This game is a Pink Out so please wear pink if you have it. Attention All 7 th and 8 th Graders interested in joining MathCounts: Our first meeting will be this Wednesday, September 21, during lunch. Bring your lunch and a pencil and join the fun of problem solving! Attention all French students: Join us for boules on the front lawn this Friday during lunch! No need to preregister just bring your lunch and a friend! Investment and Finance Club is back! The first meeting of this school year will be on Tuesday September 20th in Mr. Lindsay's room at 3:05. Hope to you see all there. Attention ALL high school girls in grades 9-12 There will be a brief basketball meeting in Coach Mercer s room this Friday Sept. 23rd at 3 PM. This is for current players and ALL girls that may consider playing this year. Please come
2 prepared to ask current players and Coach Mercer any questions that you may have about our program. Our numbers are very low and we need ALL girls that currently DO NOT play to please consider playing so that we have enough players for a JV and a Varsity team. We have had a JV and Varsity team since our program started in the mid 1970s (over 40 years ago). Please consider playing this year, so that we can continue our strong tradition. If you cannot attend the meeting on Friday, at least stop to see Coach Mercer to express your interest in playing. The meeting will last less than 30 minutes and pizza will be provided. Prize-winning Cornhole Tournament Once again the Fall Festival will hold a Cornhole Tournament. You can pre-register or register on the day of the festival. Cost is $10. Forms are in the main office, and will be collected there as well. The is a single elimination tournament that begins with a warmup at 11 and the tournament at noon. Prizes are $100 first place, $50 second prize, $30 third prize, and $10 fourth prize. Sign up today! Are you interested in other cultures and countries? Then the International Club is for you! Join the AFS sponsored club for it s first meeting during lunch Friday September 23rd in Ms. Lehmann s art room. We ll be discussing our plans for the year ahead!

Camp Counselors Needed Attention high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors: the sixth grade teachers are looking for energetic, responsible, and spirited students to be this year's camp counselors! If you are interested in this amazing service opportunity to mentor this year's sixth graders in their outdoor camp experience, please pick up a packet from the High School office. Packets are due Wednesday, Oct. 5 th. If you have any questions, please Mrs. Morris at the elementary school. Pumpkin Sale The annual Pumpkin Sale will be held after school on Wednesday 9/21 and Thursday 9/22 by the Land Lab outside the elementary school. Large pumpkins will be for sale for $4 or $6 each. Be sure to stop by to buy pumpkins and support OHSPA! Pumpkin Decorating Contest It's time for the annual pumpkin decorating contest! Get a pumpkin at the pumpkin sale, plan your design, and enter your pumpkin into the contest between 11:00am and 1:00pm at the
