Applications are located in the counseling office school applicants 12th Hood Canal Salmon Center Stream Team Scholarship/Internship $1,500 3/31/2017 Are you a graduating high school senior in good academic standing who is planning on pursuing a degree in the natural sciences or related fields? You might want to consider a paid internship with the Pacific Northwest Salmon Center as part of The StreamTeam! Internships require a 400 hour commitment from June through the start of fall term and pays $9.47 $10 an hour. On completion of the summer internship commitment, a $1500 scholarship is also awarded. If you happen to be considering WSU's Vancouver Campus there is a scholarship application good for 80 different scholarships! See thewashboard.org for application details th Young American Creative Patriotic Art Awards 3/31/2017 To enter the contest, students must be in 9th 12th grade. Art must be on paper or canvas. 4 Kitsap Mineral and Gem Society $1,000 4/1/2017 Kitsap Mineral and Gem Society will grant a high school senior or college student interested in and planning a career in Earth Science a scholarship. 3.0 Washington University in St. Louis Summer Program This is not a scholarship, but is an opportunity for HS freshman, sophomores, or juniors to attend a summer experience in a career area of interest. Nordstrom Fashion Ambassadors meet once a month, typically the first Saturday of the month. You also automatically receive a $1,000 scholarship to FIDM for being a part of the program! Scottish Rite of Freemasonry High School Seniors who plan to attend an accredited institution of higher learning! $1,000 4/15/ see counseling department 12th CK High School Boosters $2,000 4/17/2017 The CKHS Booster Club is a volunteer organization that promotes the extracurricular activities of CKHS Students. The Booster Club provides various scholarships to seniors that have chosen post secondary education at a college, university, or technical/vocational school. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. $2,000 4/17/2017 The Seattle Alumni Chapter will award 3 $2,000 scholarships to African American graduating HS Seniors that are pursuing higher education. This scholarship is in memory of Bertha Pitts Campbell as she exemplified outstanding leadership, academic excellence and community service. 2.5 Application in Counseling 12th Silverdale Dandy Lions Scholarship $250 One applicant from each high school in Central Kitsap will receive this award. It is NOT based primarily on community involvement and/or academic achievement. Application includes a 300 word essay, two letters of recommendation, and a summary. 4/17/2017 Whaling Days Hank Mann Sykes Scholarship 4/17/2017 Amount. Applicants must be from Central Kitsap, Olympic, KSS, or Eastside/Westside Alternative High School. Applications require a 500 word essay, transcript, and three letters of recommendation. Central Kitsap Educational Support Professionals Scholarship 4/28/2017 HS Seniors, first consideration for this scholarship will be given to students with family members who are current Central Kitsap Educational Support Professionals. If CKESP receives no applications who meet this criteria, consideration will be given to students within the CK School District who have submitted a completed application. (2)$1K In Counseling Office 12th Johnsonlink Orthodontics S.M.I.L.E. $500 $1000 4/28/2017 Senior scholarship from Johnsonlink Orthodontics. Focused on college bound seniors who have had challenges that have caused them to 'slip' academically but have put themselves back on the right track. This is not a highly academic scholarship. 7 Rotary Club of Silverdale Education Assistance Grant /28/2017 High School seniors who plan to attend a four year college or university, two year community college or technical/vocational school in the Fall of 2017 may apply. This grant is specifically for students who have endured hardship or other obstacles that have left qualifying for traditional scholarships unattainable. Selection will be based on applicant intent, your personal essay, and your recommendations. This application can also be found online at thewashboard.org or in the counseling office 12th Tersha Brown Memorial Scholarship $1000 4/28/2017 The Tersha Brown Memorial Scholarship provides educational resources in recognition of a graduating female athlete at Central Kitsap High School who exemplifies strong leadership skills, has made a positive contribution to the high school fastpitch and/or volleyball programs while showing a strong commitment to the importance of empowering women.
