AWARD ACCEPTING THE CHALLENGE OF EXCELLENCE AWARD This award recognizes high school students who have overcome great physical, emotional, or social obstacles and are now eligible for graduation. BANDURA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP Scholarship for a senior who is accepted at an accredited institution in a health related major. The candidate must demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, character, service and concern for others. Deadline May 1. BABY MAC MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP Scholarship for a student enrolling in a post-secondary program which leads to a degree in Special Education, Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Adaptive Physical Education or School Psychology. BOILING SPRINGS LIONS CLUB MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP IN MEMORY OF WALTER JACOBY, JAMES CAREW and WALTER HECKMAN Scholarships awarded by the Boiling Springs Lion Club. CARLISLE AREA HEALTHCARE AUXILIARY SCHOLARSHIPS Scholarships for students planning to enter a R.N., L.P.N., Medical Technician, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Technician or Radiology Technician. CARLISLE HEARTS-N-HANDS SERTOMA CLUB Scholarship for a student who is a cancer survivor or in treatment or have a family member who is a survivor or in treatment or planning to study oncology, cancer research, or any form of cancer therapy. ORRSTOWN BANK SCHOLARSHIPS For seniors enrolling in a post-secondary institutions. Factors to be considered are academic achievement, test scores, service to the school and community, leadership, potential, and financial need. Deadline March. PA MEDIA GROUP BEST & BRIGHTEST The PA Media Group, Patriot-News, PennLive and CentralPA Magazine honors 20 high school seniors who have contributed the most to their schools and communities.
