3 SCHOLARSHIP: The Washington State Opportunity Scholarship February 28, 2017 REQUIREMENTS: The Washington State Opportunity Scholarship (WSOS) supports low- and middle-income students pursuing eligible high-demand majors in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) or health care and encourages recipients to work in Washington State once they complete their degrees. Prescott Scholarship March 1, 2017 REQUIREMENTS: The Washington State School Retirees' Association (WSSRA) invites senior students of our school who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher to apply for the above scholarships. These awards are given to students who wish to have a career in the "field of education". Their degree could be in one of these majors: teacher, counselor, speech therapist, occupational therapist, or psychologist. 6 SCHOLARSHIP: Merle Kirkley Merit Scholarship or April 21, 2017 REQUIREMENTS: The Merle Kirkley Merit Scholarship Award is a competitive merit-based scholarship program designed to provide financial support for Washington State high school students planning to obtain a post-secondary education.
