Deadline to apply is May 22, Sigma Phi Epsilon Balanced Man Scholarship Applicants must be a male high school senior entering Cleveland State University in the fall, with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The Balanced Man Scholarships award students who exhibit academic excellence, demonstrate leadership skills, and are committed to their health and well-being. Applicants and scholarship winners are not required to join Sigma Phi Epsilon. Lorain Soil & Water Conservation District Joel McRoberts Memorial Scholarship This is a $1,000 scholarship for a graduating senior who will be enrolled for the fall 2018 semester at a two or four-year college or university in Ohio as a full-time student enrolled in an agricultural or natural resource related field. Applicants must also be a Lorain County resident. Deadline is April 13, William D. Squires Educational Foundation, Inc Fifteen, $4,000 renewable scholarships are being offered to Ohio seniors. Eligibility is primarily based upon financial need. Applicants must be highly motivated, have good character, show

2 academic promise, already know their career goal, and have a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA. Applications will be accepted from Feb. 15 th until April 5 th. Educational Service Center, Wayne Ross Scholarship This is a $500 scholarship in honor of former Lorain County Educational Service Center Superintendent, Wayne Ross. Applicant must be pursuing a degree in education, entering freshman year of college in 2018 as a full-time student. Application is found online at: Deadline is Apr 6, Medical Mutual of Ohio Scholarship Through this program, graduating high school seniors from school districts that carry Medical Mutual Insurance are eligible to apply for a one-time $500 scholarship toward college tuition. Deadline is April 1, Cpl. Brad D. Squires Scholarship This is a memorial scholarship to honor Cpl. Brad D. Squires, who was a Marine killed, fighting in Iraq. This scholarship is aimed towards the student with exceptional ambition; a student who sets goals for themselves and keeps trying no matter how hard or impossible that goal may seem. Scholarship This scholarship was established in the amount of $500 for a graduating senior who wishes to pursue a degree of a business nature. Deadline is April 16, Nordson Builds Scholarship The average scholarship granted is nearly $4,000, with the potential for awards up to $10,000. Eligible students are high school seniors or college students enrolling in an accredited not-for-profit post-secondary institution majoring in a field related to science, technology, engineering, mathematics or business and are interested in a career in manufacturing. Deadline is May 15, The Herb Guild Garden Club Scholarship This scholarship is available to high school seniors as well as freshmen and sophomores attending LCCC or Tri-C.

3 The awarded amount typically is $1,500-$2,000. The areas of study that the scholarship will be awarded to are the study of horticulture, forestry, agriculture, environmental science, botany, landscaping, or culinary arts. Only students who are planning to pursue a major in one of these areas will be considered for the scholarship. Deadline is April 3, College Now/Jane Edna Hunter Scholarship This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance for full-time undergraduate women under the age of 30, who are residents of Ohio or South Carolina. Applicants must be a woman under 30 who will be attending a public or private college or university and enrolled full-time for the upcoming fall term. Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and demonstrate financial need. Deadline is April 15, College Now/ Manufacturing Scholarship This is a scholarship opportunity for graduating high school seniors and adult students who are interested in a training program, specifically in the field of manufacturing with the result leading to a license/certification or degree. Eligible students must be a resident of Cuyahoga, Lake, Lorain or Summit County, have or will have a high school diploma or GED, will be attending an eligible non-degree program that is up to two years in length at a public or private not-for-profit college or university, technical/career or certified training center, demonstrate financial need, and NOT have a bachelor s degree. Deadline is April 15, UAW Local 1216 Scholarship Local 1216 is sponsoring two scholarships. An at-large scholarship, which will be drawn at random for $500, and an essay based scholarship for $1,000, awarded for the best essay written. Applicants must be a child, grandchild, or legal dependent of current member in good standing or retired member of Local 1216, graduating high school or current higher education student continuing in the upcoming year with at least a 2.5 GPA. Deadline is March 30, IOTA SIGMA PI FLOURINE CHAPTER Scholarship National Honor Society for Women in Chemistry This BP Scholarship is for women in their senior year of high school who have demonstrated exceptional promise as future scientists. It will be awarded on scholastic achievement and participation in

Applicants must have applied to an accredited four-year college or university in OHIO, with the intent of becoming a science major, intending to pursue a scientific career after graduation. Scholarship This $1,000 scholarship is open to any senior from Lorain County, pursuing a career in the Broadcast Industry, whether at an accredited College, University, or a Technical School for Broadcasting. Deadline is April 6, The Elyria Rotary Scholarship This is a privately funded scholarship to assist local students who are actively involved in community service and have shown success in academic endeavors. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA and will be entering a baccalaureate institution full-time in the fall of 2018, and actively demonstrate "Service Above Self" through involvement in community service, volunteerism, and extra-curricular activities. As in previous years, one scholarship with a total value of $20,000, payable as $5,000 per year over four years, will be awarded. The additional $30,000 Exemplary Service Centennial Awards will be of various amounts based on merit. Centennial Awards will be paid as one-time awards for the academic school year.
