1 LAKE VILLA TOWNSHIP LIONS CLUB SCHOLARSHIP Sponsored by the Lake Villa Township Lions Club DESCRIPTION: A $1,000 scholarship for the school year following high school graduation will be awarded to a qualifying high school senior planning to pursue a two or four year Degree at any accredited college or university. REQUIREMENTS: 1. Current resident of Lake Villa Township 2. Acceptance letter at the college of one s choice or wait list letter 3. Evidence of activity in public and civic affairs 4. Provide verifiable evidence of volunteer work 5. Cumulative GPA 3.0 or greater on 4.0 grading scale HOW TO APPLY: Scholarship applications are available at and/or with your Guidance Counselor at your high school. Application deadline is Saturday, March 31, SELECTION: The Scholarship Committee of the Lake Villa Township Lions Club will interview the selected scholarship finalist(s). The scholarship award will be presented to the scholarship winner at the May meeting of the Lake Villa Township Lions Club.

2 PROCEDURE: LAKE VILLA TOWNSHIP LIONS CLUB SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS To be eligible for the Lake Villa Township Lions Club college scholarship, the high school senior must complete and sign the official scholarship application and obtain two letters of recommendation evidencing the student s character and participation in public and civic affairs.
