8 Voice of Democracy Theme: Why My Vote Matters Any student in grades 9-12 Who Can Enter? Enrolled in a public, private or parochial high school or home study program in the United States and its territories. Foreign exchange students, students age 20 or over, previous Voice of Democracy first place state winners, GED or Adult Education Students are ineligible.

10 Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest

11 Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest Who Can Enter? Any student in grades 9-12 who is enrolled in a public, private or parochial high school or home study program in the United States. Maximum student age of 18 at time of local entry. Student must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national.

12 Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest Entry Requirements Submissions of water color, pencil, pastel, charcoal, tempera, crayon, acrylic, pen-and-ink or oil must be on stretcher frames or canvas board or must be matted on white. Do not frame. Art should be no smaller than 8 x 10 but no larger than 18 x 24, not including the mat.

13 Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest Participants must submit entries to a local VFW Scholarships Chairman by March 31, The first-place winner from each VFW Auxiliary will be sent to the Department Scholarships Chairman for judging. District Judging (Optional) - If held, the District winners must meet the Department deadline for judging. Department Judging - VFW Auxiliary or District entries must be received by the Department Scholarships Chairman by April 15, 2019! National Deadline - Department entries in the National Contest must be received at VFW Auxiliary National Headquarters by May 5, 2019!

17 VFW Auxiliary Continuing Education Scholarship To apply applicants must be 18 years of age or older and be one of the following: Current VFW Auxiliary Member* Spouse of current VFW Auxiliary Member* Son of current VFW Auxiliary Member* Daughter of current VFW Auxiliary Member* *Qualifying member must have been a member of the VFW Auxiliary for one (1) year by the application submission deadline.
