2 General Information 20th Anniversary Edition of the Annual Innovations in Neuroscience November 1 2, 2018 Cleveland, OH Overview A spectacular educational forum designed to provide the most current information on a variety of topics in neuroscience. This educational activity is intended for nurses, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, occupational therapists and physical therapists. Learning Objectives After completing this activity, the participant will be able to do the following: Recognize common neurological symptoms in various neurological diseases, and treatment options through lecture and case-based learning. Identify both standards of care and innovations, in the management of specific neurological diseases, symptoms and patient populations. Discuss consequences of neurological diseases, trauma and treatment challenges as it relates to quality of life issues. Develop improved management skills and proficiency of neurological critical care patients via lectures and hands-on workshop. Describe the role of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in the recovery process of patients with neurological disease and neurological injury. Recognize work related stress and safety concerns and how to avoid burnout. Parking Self and overnight parking are available at prevailing rates. Accreditation This program is not yet approved for CME credit. Conference organizers plan to request 14 AAPA Category 1 CME credits from the AAPA Review Panel. The total number of approved credits is yet to be determined. Application for credit has been filed with the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers (OTPTAT) Board for Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy credits. Determination of credits is pending.
