4 Caring for the Complex Needs of Acute Care Patients with Substance Use Disorders, June 16, 2017 Nurses from a variety of care environments are facing new challenges of managing patient care that includes substance use disorders across the continuum of care. This conference will address guidelines, expectations, and legal issues surrounding the care of patients with substance use disorders. Healthy boundaries and best practice interactions providing strategies to manage difficult patients and potential for drug abuse in acute care settings will also be addressed.
