FRONTLINE Murdoch s Scandal For more than half a century Rupert Murdoch s business audacity and political shrewdness built one of the world s most powerful media empires. Now his dynasty is under threat not from outside competition, but from shocking accounts of bribery, blackmail, and invasion of privacy. The scandal has prompted criminal investigations on both sides of the Atlantic. It has also cracked open the insular world of the Murdoch family, its news executives, and the political elite who court their favor. Today, the 80-year-old owner of the Wall Street Journal and FOX News Channel is in the fight of his life. In Murdoch s Scandal, Frontline tells the story of the battle over the future of News Corporation, Rupert Murdoch s reputation, and his family s fortunes. Murdoch s Scandal on Frontline will be broadcast Tuesday, March 27th at 10:00 p.m. and repeats Thursday, March 29th at 7:00 p.m. Hemingway in Cuba The story of Ernest Hemingway s 30-year love affair with the West Indies republic is recounted in Hemingway in Cuba. Cuba captured Ernest Hemingway s fertile imagination and inspired him to create now-legendary fictional characters: Harry Morgan of To Have and Have Not, Thomas Hudson of Islands in the Stream and Santiago of The Old Man and the Sea. The program travels to Cuba to capture Hemingway s old haunts and explores Hemingway s real-life adventures in Cuba, from his passion for marlin fishing and safari hunting to the influence of his wives and lovers on his life and work. Hemingway in Cuba will be broadcast Friday, March 2nd at 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, March 27th at 7:00 p.m. The Horsemen Cometh The Horsemen Cometh follows the world s only P-51 Mustang formation aerobatic team as they harness the grace and power of the legendary Cadillacs of the Sky. The film documents the journey of three renowned air show pilots as they attempt to tame these vintage fighters and showcase the plane s heritage at air shows around the world. Cameras take viewers into the cockpits and the skies as the pilots deftly fly in lockstep formation while performing heartpounding and dramatic aerial maneuvers. The Horsemen Cometh can be seen Friday, March 16th at 11:00 p.m. and Wednesday, March 21st at 9:00 p.m. 7

9 KENW TV SCHEDULES 3-1 (HD), 3-2 (SD) AND 3-3 (SD) Our regular KENW-TV Channel (3-2) is listed below in bold. It can be seen by those who use cable or one of our analog translators listed on page 3. Schedule 3-1 is our High Definition (HD) Channel and 3-3 is our Children s/encore Standard Definition (SD) Channel. Those with either digital TV sets or analog sets with converter boxes (both sets require antennas) can receive all three channels in most parts of our viewing area. KENW-TV has digital transmitters in the following cities: Clovis/Portales; Hobbs/Lovington; Roswell; Artesia; Fort Sumner; Tucumcari; and now Carlsbad! This service is not yet available in Ruidoso. KENW-TV is on DirecTV Channel 3 in most counties of New Mexico, both in High Definition (3-1) and Standard Definition (3-2). KENW-TV is also now on Dish Network Standard Definition Channel 3 (3-2). Last month Dish Network added our KENW-TV High Definition Channel (HD) to its local station lineup in most counties of New Mexico. DirecTV had already been carrying our HD signal for most of last year. However, when Dish and DirecTV customers receive HD signals, the receiving box sometimes defaults to showing only the HD channel and those who want to watch our Standard Definition (SD) 3-2 channel no longer can find it. In order to watch the SD channels, a viewer has to go into the setup on the DirecTV or Dish receiver and tell it to Show Duplicates or Show both HD & SD. If you want step-by-step instructions on how to do this, please send us your mailing or address, which company you are using, and we will send the instructions to you. 8:00 Song of the Mountains 3-1 Frontline 9:00 Sportslook 3-1 Independent Lens 9:30 Red Green Show Cell Hell 10:00 Jubilee Cedric Burnside and Lightnin Malcolm 3-3 Teaching Channel 11:00 Charlie Rose 3-3 Frontline 3-3 Linus Pauling KENW-TV s 3-1 (High Definition, HD) and 3-2 (Standard Definition, SD) program schedules can be seen on the following cable companies: Dexter: Channel 3 (SD) and Channel 470 (HD), Cable One Hobbs: Channel 3 (SD) and Channel 703 (HD), U.S. Cable Portales: Channel 3 (SD), and Channel 510 (HD), Comcast Cable Roswell: Channel 3 (SD), and Channel 470 (HD), Cable One KENW-TV s 3-2 Schedule (Standard Definition, SD) can be seen on the following cable companies: Friday 2nd 5: Growing a Greener World 6: Song of the Mountains 7: Jubilee 8:00 9: Globe Trekker 10: Painting and Travel 10: Paint This with Jerry Yarnell 11: Independent Lens 12: Inside E Street 12: Bluegrass Underground 1: Woodsongs 2:00 3: Globe Trekker KENW-TV on Cable Companies Artesia: Channel 3, PVT Carlsbad: Channel 3, U.S. Cable Clovis: Channel 3, Suddenlink Dexter: Channel 3, PVT Eddy County South: Channel 3, U.S. Cable Eunice: Channel 3, U.S. Cable Farwell: Channel 3, Suddenlink Ft. KENW-TV is Now on Both DirecTV and Dish Network Satellite Both Dish Network and DirecTV Satellite services are now carrying KENW-TV in the Albuquerque-Santa Fe Designated Market Area (DMA). This DMA includes all counties in New Mexico except Roosevelt, Curry, Quay, Union, and Dona Ana. Both DirecTV and Dish Network are carrying the KENW-TV High Definitions Channel (HD 3-1) and the KENW-TV Standard Definition (SD 3-2). The Nielsen Company decides which counties go into the various DMAs. At the present time, there are 210 DMAs in the United States. In population size, the Albuquerque-Santa Fe DMA is the 45th largest in the U.S. because it takes in most of the State of New Mexico. Nielsen determines the counties in a DMA by which television stations the viewers in that county are watching. By Nielsen rules, DirecTV and Dish Network subscribers in Union, Quay, Curry, and Roosevelt counties will receive the Amarillo PBS station. In all other counties of New Mexico, except for Dona Ana, subscribers will receive PBS from KENW-TV (Portales) and KNME-TV (Albuquerque). Dona Ana is in the El Paso DMA, and those subscribers will receive PBS from KRWG-TV (Las Cruces) and KCOS-TV (El Paso). 18
