1 2017 SR5 Dixie Fellowship Brothers, the 65th annual Southern Region Section 5 Dixie fellowship will be held at Camp Barstow on April This year's Dixie is going to be great! It will feature Individual Dance, Group Dance, Drum/Sing performances, Quest for the Golden Arrow Events, Patch Trading and much more. Not only will it be extremely fun and have great competitions it will also be a great time to socialize with other arrowmen from our section as as meet our OA National Vice-Chief. 2017 Carolina s Indian Seminar Recap My first CIS was a very interesting and influential experience; from the dancing and being on the drum, to learning and practicing with the best of the best.

There was a great source of knowledge and fun through the whole weekend. The Friday night drum session was very intense, as it was my first pow-wow experience on the southern drum.

2 2017 Carolina s Indian Seminar Recap My first CIS was a very interesting and influential experience; from the dancing and being on the drum, to learning and practicing with the best of the best. A few Tsali Lodge members said this is the best way to learn anything about the Indian Affairs program, and I d say they were right! There was a great source of knowledge and fun through the whole weekend. The Friday night drum session was very intense, as it was my first pow-wow experience on the southern drum. We had a great dance on Saturday night. Being with the best regalia and learning from the best singers and drummers in the south shows that you will always learn something new. I would definitely recommend this trip to any Lodge member to enrich in their heritage. - Matty Gates, Training Committee Chairman Page 2

If you are a member of group dance, individual dance, drum, ceremonies, or a quest team, be prepared to work hard in preparation to compete and win at Dixie! These elections are important to sustain the lodge and allow eligible candidates to be a part of the Order of the Arrow. February s Featured Patch Here is another of the patch sets that can be hard to come by in a set. This is the delegate patch set issued in 2012 for NOAC. As you can see in the picture this set has the silver border. 4 sets were given to each delegate that registered. The rest were sold at the event. This set was never offered in the Trading Post. This is a very sought after set and does not come available very often. The flap is often separated from the dangle. You thought you got rid of me. Hello, Lodge members; are you tired of having nothing to do in the afternoons of fellowships and ordeals? Do you have any idea what a dragon boat is? Do you love your lodge and seek to make it better? If you said yes to any of those questions I need you for quest events for this years Dixie Conclave!!! There are a wide variety of events such as dragon boat racing, various shooting, chariot racing (lash together an A-frame and carry someone), knot relay, a cross country run, ultimate frisbee, arrow throw/softball throw, and tug of war.
