3 Introduction Welcome to the 2018 Indian Peaks / Mountain View Fall Rendezvous. This year s theme will again be Knots and Pots as we will have Rope/ lashing activities, cooking events, as well as other scout skills. All Scouts are welcome to join in the fun, and Arrow of Light Scouts and their parents are invited to join us overnight, or just for the day, on Saturday, September 29 th. We will join together as a Mega Troop (Troop 2018), consisting of existing patrols and participating in a day of activities featuring teamwork, Scout skills, community service and fellowship. Highlights 1. Station Requirements We are requesting each Troop to help staff a station, and provide 3 members (2 youth and 1 adult). Troops will provide the materials, supplies and instructions necessary to run the station. Recommend that youth volunteers be 1st Class or above, or Order of the Arrow. Each station will be 50 minutes long with a 10-minute transition period. 2. Teamwork Activities Patrols will rotate through the different program stations. Each activity will feature an activity where Scouts will be challenged on their teamwork, communication and Scout skills. 3. Dutch Oven Potluck Dinner An annual tradition, dinner on Saturday night will be a camp-wide Dutch Oven Pot Luck dinner. Each Troop will participate by cooking their best meals in Dutch Ovens and sharing them. Please prepare enough food for double your Unit participants, so everyone can get a taste. 4. Campfire Each Troop will have the option of performing a song, skit, or both, at the Saturday night campfire. (Sign up by dinner) 5. Scout s Own An interfaith service will be hosted by the Troop Chaplain Aides on Sunday morning. 6. Parking Parking will be in the designated parking Area. 1 Troop trailer may be left at campsite. You will get more information at check-in.
