The Large Meeting Room has a maximum occupancy of 90 people, while the Small Meeting Room holds up to 20. The Large Meeting Room has an adjacent kitchen if you want to serve refreshments. 2 Letter from the Director Dear Residents, It s hard to believe that summer is already here! Our annual Summer Reading Club will be ongoing well into August, so be sure to visit the Library to register. We have great prizes this year, so don t miss out! On August 1, we will have a special Signature Event, the showing of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, on the lawn. Come join us for a fun evening outdoors! Summer is also a great time to take advantage of our free Museum Pass program. If you want to stay close to home, we offer passes to the Fire House Museum and the Whaling Museum, but you can also go to the Cradle of Aviation, the Long Island Children s Museum, the Intrepid, the Guggenheim, and more! Enjoy your summer and please stop by the Library to take advantage of our numerous programs, excellent resources, and beautiful views. I look forward to seeing you at the Library! Camp fee is $75 per student and will cover the cost of a robot car kit to take home. Build, program, and complete the week with a fun mini robotics competition. A representative will walk you through how to access all the great downloadable content available through Hoopla. ST. FRANCIS OUTREACH BUS: FREE HEALTH SCREENINGS Wednesday, July 11, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. St. Francis Hospital Outreach staff will provide free health screenings, including a brief cardiac history, blood pressure, body mass index, waist circumference, and a simple blood test for cholesterol and diabetes. Patient education and referrals, as needed, are available for adults over the age of 18. No appointment or registration needed; walk right up! Howard Rose will help you decide what to photograph, how to create the best design for your photo, and how to use the editing apps on your phone. This class is designed for owners of the iphone 5 and up. Bring a bag lunch or pick up a quick bite at the CSH Deli when the class goes to the waterfront to shoot.
