2 Sub:- Purchase of Window Air-Conditioners for PNC ward. As per requirement of the department placed at page no3/c, the newly constructed PNC ward is occupied by the Post Natal mothers and their new born babies. More over the ward is situated on the top floor and there is very hot during the peak summer months. This will leads to hyperthermia of the new born and mothers. They required 18 nos of Window Air- conditioners having 2 ton capacity. J.E (E) vide its report placed at page n. 1/c has proposed the same The specifications are as under 1. After obtaining administrative approval of Medical Supdtt. Hindu Rao Hospital, vide her order dated at page 2/N, tenders were called for purchasing of Air Conditioners 8 nos. vide NIT No 125 due on Two firms M/s. Dynamic Enterprises and M/s. Khan Enterprises submitted their offers in dual bid system. Comparative statement were prepared and same are placed opposite in the file at page / C. A meeting of purchase board comprising of Addl. M.S./HRH, CMO (Adm)/HRH, CMO (Pathology)/HRH, J E (Elect)/HRH and ACA/HRH was held at 3.00 pm in the office of Addl. M.S./HRH to examine the offers for purchase of Air Conditioners. Board re-examined the offers of both the firms M/s. Dynamic Enterprises and M/s. Varuna Industries in view of their clarifications in which they have extended their warrantee period for Five years in place of One Year. Board found that both the firms meet the specifications of the NIT and board recommends that the price bid of both the firms i.e. M/s. Dynamic Enterprises and M/s. Varuna Industries be opened. More over there come about 2000 to 3000 outpatients and inpatients every day in the hospital. The numbers of the patients are likely to be increased in future because of increasing turn over and bed occupancy. More over the hospital has been designated as Primary support Center for the coming Common wealth Games in the University area of Delhi. For proper working of the sophisticated computerized base life saving equipments, for the efficient working of the doctors and other staff sitting among the large crows patients and for increasing more facilities and additional medical services, Air conditioners are necessary need of the hospital. Most of the Air conditioners installed in the different department/places are about 20 years old and are running interruptedly round the clock are incapable to fulfill the present requirement during till to end of the hot summer season. The tender for the procurement of the Air Conditioners has been floated two time through E-tendering but no firm has quoted its tender. As per advised of the Medical superintendent of the hospital, the verbal and written requirement of the Air conditioners has been prepared. The Air conditioners installed in the department does not meet the present requirement as most of the Air Conditioners are very old and lying un-working.
