2 41st Annual Pediatrics in the Red Rocks Conference Provided by Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics Course Description June 29 July 1, 2018 Hilton Sedona at Bell Rock, Sedona, Arizona Pediatrics in the Red Rocks is a well-respected educational event attended by Arizona's pediatric community. The conference is a three day post-graduate course which combines lectures, case presentations, question and answer sessions and workshops with time for informal interaction with the guest faculty and peers. The conference has been designed with the goal to develop, maintain and increase the knowledge, skills and professional performance of pediatric healthcare providers by providing them with the highest quality, most relevant and accessible educational experiences possible. Course Credit AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AZAAP). The American Academy of Pediatrics is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The AAP designates this live activity for a maximum of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This activity is acceptable for a maximum of AAP credits. These credits can be applied toward the AAP CME/CPD Award available to Fellows and Candidate Members of the American Academy of Pediatrics. The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit from organizations accredited by ACCME. Physician assistants may receive a maximum of hours of Category 1 credit for completing this program. This program is accredited for NAPNAP CE contact hours of which 0 contain pharmacology (Rx), (0 related to psychopharmacology) (0 related to controlled substances), content per the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) Continuing Education Guidelines. MOC Part 2 Points Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the activity, with individual assessments of the participant and feedback to the participant, enables the participant to earn MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.
