DeYung called the December 1, 2015 Study Sessin Meeting f the Bard f Cmmissiners f King Cunty Public Hspital District N. 2 t rder at 4:30 p.m. and annunced that the Bard wuld immediately adjurn int Executive Sessin t cnsider and discuss persnnel matters. Cmm. DeYung further annunced that the Executive Sessin wuld adjurn at apprximately 5:30 p.m. and that the pen Public Meeting wuld resume at apprximately 5:35 p.m. after a shrt recess. The Executive Sessin cmmenced at 4:31 p.m. The Executive Sessin was cncluded at 5:30 p.m., at which time a shrt recess was taken. Cmm. He cmmented n nursing sensitive indicatrs, CLABSI and CAUTI measures and the cntinued wrk n Pre- and Pst-Diabetic Orders. Dr. Tmlin stated that it was hard t have enugh superlatives t describe Dr. Ettre Pallazz's excellent wrk n reducing readmissins. Lwer readmissins nt nly benefit ur patients but result in financial benefits as well. Bard Quality Runds - the BQC had a very gd visit t the Pulmnary Care Clinic and was s pleased by the psitive culture, fcus n standard wrk and patientcentered staff. Dr. Tmlin referenced news related t litigatin ver the use f the Mrcellatr, nting it has nt been used r requested at EvergreenHealth since the new infrmed cnsent frm was cmpleted and clearance given t use it fr gyneclgical surgeries. Dr. Mark Vssler will c-chair the Quality Cmmittee fr the EvergreenHealth Medical Grup, alng with Dr. Tmlin. Wrk will cntinue n quality measures related t Washingtn Health Assciatin standards. Patient Experience Reprt Ms. Taylr pened by thanking Shelly Hendersn fr her dedicatin and hard wrk ver the past 16 years, nting that internal custmers ften request t wrk specifically with Ms. Hendersn because f her excellent custmer service skills. Ms. Taylr then gave an infrmative presentatin n (1) a review f Patient Experience in the cntext f achieving Brand and Patient Lyalty; (2) the link between Patient Experience and Safety and Quality; (3) examples f tls and tactics t supprt exceptinal Patient Experience; (4) Patient Experience results year-t-date, including gals; and (5) pririties, planning and the 2016 timeline. The Bard thanked Ms. Taylr fr her reprt and the wrk t enhance Patient Experience.

3 KCPHD #2 Bard Meeting Minutes 12/1 /2015 Page 3 f 5 DISCUSSION ITEMS FOR PROPOSED ACTION ON December 15, 2015 Pharmacy Chemtherapy/Hazardus Medicatin Hd Replacement Cnstructin Request After intrducing the tpic, Mr. Friedman invited Dn Briggs, Directr f Pharmacy Services, t prvide cntext and backgrund related t the request fr funding f HVAC renvatin and equipment fr the inpatient pharmacy chemtherapy/hazardus medicatin clean rm. The current hd has been in place ver 25 years, which has been a gd run, but shuld be replaced in the interest f cntinued staff safety. Puget Sund High Value Netwrk ("PSHVN") LLC Mr. Martin presented a recmmendatin t cntinue the authrizatin t the EvergreenHealth representatives t the Bard f Managers f EvergreenHealth Partners ("EHP"), LLC t supprt participatin in the Puget Sund High Value Netwrk ("PSHVN") and t advance the sum f $100,000 t EHP t fund its participatin in PSHVN as a full vting member. PSHVN is the vehicle thrugh which EHP participates in the Washingtn State Health Care Authrity ("HCA") cntract cmmencing next year. Bard Cmmittee Appintments - Planning and Cnstructin Cmmittee Cmm. DeYung prpsed the appintment f Dale Nussbaum and Andrew Haring t cmmunity member psitins n the EvergreenHealth Bard Planning and Cnstructin Cmmittee. Mr. Nussbaum, a Kenmre resident, is President f the Nussbaum Grup, a landscape cnstructin and rganic maintenance service cmpany. Mr. Haring, a Kirkland resident f Kirkland, is a Vice President and General cunsel at Talking Rain, with 20+ years f legal expertise. Cmms. DeYung and Pilcher have met with bth candidates and nte they are bth articulate, very supprtive f EvergreenHealth and its missin, and are expected t be welcme additins t this cmmittee. The input frm cmmunity members has been a valuable resurce t the Bard Cmmittees. Medical Staff Reprt Dr. Sctt Burks, Medical Staff President, reprted n and gave ntice f the fllwing: Up-t-Date nline reference prduct - Dr. Burks stated that this reference prduct has been a valuable resurce t physicians, but is very expensive. Thanks t the gd wrk f Mr. Jhnsn and Dr. Aragn it was pssible t negtiate a mre reasnable membership fee fr this clinical tl and it will be available t the Medical Staff in the cming year.

The 2015 Medical Staff Bylaws are ut fr review and vte by the Medical Staff. A special thanks was given t Dr. Jasn Byer fr being n call ver the Thanksgiving hliday - he was a great help even as he celebrated with his newly-arrived adpted sns frm Africa. CEO Reprt Mr. Malte reprted n and gave ntice f the fllwing: Fairfax Hspital will be pening its new GerPsych unit at EvergreenHealth Mnre n December 15 1 h. The pening f the unit has been slightly delayed due t sme staffing issues but it will be a very psitive additin t the EHM campus. The EHM AGB meets tmrrw. Research and deliberatin n OB at EHM will be shared at a special meeting next week.
