1 COPD EDUCATOR INSTITUTE 2015 COPD Educator Institute Registration Form Healthcare providers will join together for a 2-day educational workshop to learn more about COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). This 2-day course will take you through the entire continuum of care that is necessary to treat and manage this patient population. The course topics will include: Establishing a COPD Diagnosis Managing COPD Patient Self-management Reducing Readmissions Reimbursement Spirometry Medications Medication Device Training Oxygen Therapy Smoking Cessation Pulmonary Rehabilitation Lung Transplant Palliative Care Respiratory Care Practitioners: 15.6 continuing education hours are being offered through the American Lung Association in Illinois Learning Institute, an accredited provider for Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioners by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations. Nurses: This activity has been submitted to the Ohio Nurses Association (OBN ) for approval to award contact hours. The Ohio Nurse s Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurse s Credentialing Centers Commission on Accreditation.
