1 FOOD SECURITY MEETING FOR LOWER SHABELLE BANI ADAM OFFICE, MOGADISHU 23 rd October Summary The members and partners of lower shabelle food security cluster came together to the regional monthly meeting. The meeting was called by the FSC. The objective of the meeting was to highlight key access challenges and share information. Standing items discussed 1. Welcome and Introductions 2. 5 1. Welcome and Introductions The vice coordinator welcomed the participants and thanked for their commitment to participate the meeting. Then introductions were made among the participants. Every attendant said their name, their organization and operational title. 2. Review and agreement of previous minutes The VC shared previous minutes to the participants using projector. No changes were made to the previous minutes. So, the minutes were indorsed. 3. Access constraints and partner contribution The participants have shared the access constraints and challenges in their respective areas of operation within the region. Position of L Sh FSC on Floods: The Lower Shabelle FSC has once again highlighted their position on that there is no floods that actually happened. There is fear that floods can happen anytime. 4. Training Rules and 2014 VC elections The VC presented to the participants the rules for the FSC trainings that are coming VC elections are also announced, the VC told agencies to be prepared for the 2014 VC elections. The term for current VC will be ending on February The details of the election process will be shared later on. 7. AoB - To share FSC minutes with the wider cluster members/partners whether or not they attend the meeting - The L Sh FSC should consider Awdhegle as separate district.
