3 FROM THE PASTOR S DESK Dear Parishioners and Friends of St. Francis de Sales Parish, Have you got your back-to-school preparations done? That s right - the school year is just around the corner! This week, the teachers will be returning to St. Francis de Sales Parish School in order to prepare for another year, and on Monday, Aug. 31, the children will be in the classrooms ready for another year of classes and school events. Welcome to all the new students and staff! Welcome back to all those returning to our school! We are truly blessed to have a parish school. Catholic schools provide an excellent education for our children, of course, but they also provide formation in faith and morals an invaluable training that will last a lifetime. As the school year begins, we ask a blessing for all of our children, those in our parish school and those in the public schools. May God protect them and help them to grow in the ways of faith. May their classes and learning activities help them to discover their own God given talents and gifts. May their parents and teachers provide them with a solid moral foundation and lead them by example. Amen! God s Blessings, Fr. 4 IT S TIME TO THINK ABOUT R.C.I.A. The RCIA program will begin here at St. Francis. These classes will benefit anyone who is interested in learning more about the Catholic faith. If you were never baptized, if you were baptized in another denomination or if you were baptized and raised Catholic, but you left the church for some reason and you now would like to return, these classes will help you. Attending these classes do not obligate you in any way. Any choices you make regarding your faith life are strictly up to you. But if you have been feeling called to explore your faith life, the RCIA will help you to find answers. Next it will take you to a screen to enter your information and create a password (you will only need to do this once, in the future you can just log on with your and password). You can choose to use a bank account or a credit card. 4.) Put the amount of your donation in category of your choice (Capital Improvements, Angel Fund, Human Concerns, Sunday Offering, and Memorial). You can choose to make it a one-time donation or a recurring (weekly or monthly) gift. Click on continue. 5.) Use the drop down menu to choose your payment type.
